Dumb question. What's the difference between a business centre and typical Costco? I heard the Newmarket location is becoming a business centre.

Costco business caters more towards people with small businesses.

I've read here on RFD many years ago.... the difference is you find 5kg Panko bread crumb bags at regular costco and 50kgs bags at their business centers.

Thanks op. I've never been to the business center location yet. Do they also have mens clothes and toys?

No clothing or toy at this business location. A lot of their selections are geared toward restaurants, food trucks and small convenience stores. They sell the olive oil by the barrel lol. It was $999 per barrel before COVID. Not sure what is the price now lol

As mentioned no clothes or toys. Also no food court or pharmacy.

But they do carry a lot of other items regular ones don't like drinks/meats/food stuff.

Are they clearance because of short nest before dates?

Not sure about all CB Centres, but I do know that the one in Scarborough does not have a snack bar. (ie no $1.50 hot dog & pop)
They do have a 25 cent water vending machine and maybe also a pop machine with $1.25 pop though.
(Also no seating area.)

More supplies for businesses. More computer chairs, desks, etc. Plus, in some cases, larger portions of food sold. (for the restaurant business, I gather)

Outside of that, they do still have a lot of the same food for sale in the same portion sizes as a standard Costco store. (ie Milk is still 4 Litres, not some crazy big 8 litre or whatever, lol)
As strictly an example, it might be easier to buy a large(er) bag of creamers at the business location vs the regular Costo store.
If it ain't broke, don't fix it!

They don't have the same sort of product churn that the regular Costco has. They are more focused on providing a reliable supply of staples for the small businesses that use them. This is great if you run a pizza restaurant but if you like to be offered different products at every visit, stick to the regular Costco.
