Any chance the deals get better near BF ?

Usually, "Full" BF deals start on Thursday before BF.

Sounds to me this is basically the same offers from the carrier themselves and Costco have the same plans, but it's more beneficial in 2 ways:
  • The additional fluff you get from Costco
  • The $175 GC
Is my understanding correct or can we actually get better plans by going to the carriers directly?

Pixel 5
Line 1: 55.46-5= 50.46 + tax
Pixel 5 is 20$/month for 24 months. 480 total
10GB plan
canada wide unlimited
Virgin Mobile (not sure if this is worth it coming from Fido)
How did the Virgin Mobile plan end up being $55.46 - 5 = $50.46 for 10 GB plan?

I only see $55 plan for 8 GB (6 + 2 bonus) and where did the -5 comes from?

Costco plans have always been better in my experience. They usually have all the same offers as the carriers + some other perks like 10% off monthly plans, gift cards and goodies.

Interesting, I don't see the 10% off anywhere, only:

* GC (175) - but then you pay activation fee - $45 while Fido offers $100 as well .. so it's a net of $30 only
* goodies - okayish fluff

Is there "haggling" with Costco in store? like, if I bring in 2 lines, could it be better?

Went to Costco today and got myself Pixel 5.

Received $175 GC and some extra stuffs.

$20(phone) + $50(plan 15GB unlimited) total $70 + tax per month for 24 months.

Phone total cost is $480 - $175GC = $305

I think thats pretty good deal for newer phone.

Which provider? I don't see any 15 GB option for $50

Costing should be.
Plan $50 + $20 phone x 24 months = $1680 -$175 GC = $1505 just add the tax

Correct, but i don't usually add the plan cost because its same thing i would pay even for BYOD.

That’s why there is no saving on BYOP plan it will just make your cost high, The only thing you can save is with free phone as in no tab to pay.

It's a standard thing at Costco, at least for Rogers & Bell.

I think they have a bit of wiggle room on some offers. When we changed for Rogers at Black Friday 2018, we had $600 credit per line (Can't remember for sure, but I'm almost certain it was advertised as $400 or $500 at the time, and the guy was able to bump it up for us). We have 5 lines.

What is the best Android phone on Bell through Costco Mobility now? I normally buy Samsung, Asus, or Motorola but I am not sure what's best this time around... Have to replace my Samsung S9. TIA.

Something preferably IP68 water resistant, fast, and around $20-$30ish per month. With a higher $$$ Costco Cashcard offer.

Is the device trade-in/ buyback option worth doing?

Yeh...2018 was the best year for small business plan...

This year the plan sucks so I'm gonna buy a phone directly from apple and use other prepaid plan + fido data-only plan.

I got the LG Velvet 5G yesterday from Costco on Bell. $15 / month for the phone, IP68, 4300mah battery, and the best part, $300 in Costco cash cards I got to use in store yesterday. Free car charger, wireless ear buds, and this new "sanitizer" that you can put your phone in, and it cleans any phone in 3 mins. Overall a great experience, and the Mobility staff there were super friendly. This was in Barrie, ON.

Whatever you do, don't go with Virgin Mobile. I switched a few months ago and it's horrible. e.g. YouTube videos take over a minute to load.

Virgin is Bell. Sounds like an issue on your end.

Hey All, for most of the upcoming offers you'll need an existing number to port in right? (I don't think the new line deals are as generous). Any thoughts as the cheapest way to quickly get about 8 new numbers? We've got a bunch of employees who we're finally going to take mobile!

How did you get $300 GC? Is that because the store rep give out better things than what was advertised?
