[Costco] Costco.ca: Eames Chair Replica $999.99 (save $200)

Replicas are made by many brands and vary in quality. Based on the specs this appears to be a very good quality to price ratio

Ask her if she's interested in knowing what it would feel like to be a PIMP

Anyways, anybody knows the weight limit on this?

Wow. Terrible deal. A $1000 for a chair, at a wholesale price. IKEA has chairs for like $9, unbelievable. I don’t know what kind of idiot would buy this.

Just playing, ordered one of these iconic pieces. Thanks OP!

I used this type of chair for years as a main work chair, they are very comfortable and there's evidence they may be healthier than the L-shape we subject ourselves at desks.

Currently using an Ikea Poang (?) chair as my work chair after several other chairs started giving me back pain.

I feel like impulse buying this chair... I mean, even if I don't end up using it, it's very attractive.

I have *always* wanted this chair. Ill keep an eye if this drops further, but $999 is still steep.

I've been wanting one of these chairs for a while. This is a pretty good price if it's good quality. I would be really tempted to buy this if I wasn't moving. Probably for the best as my pets and kids would probably destroy it anyways.

edit: for anyone wondering... the cheapest I've seen a used version of this chair on kijiji in the GTA in good condition was about $600 I think. normally, the cheapest new ones are $1200+tax and better quality ones are $1600+ tax and up. So this is a good price, especially if the quality of the leather is good. There are a lot of different replicas that range in quality.

Agreed. Even the Structube cloth version is nice for a cheaper option, but it's so damn short.

Holy crap, thanks OP.

My friends and family are gonna think I have stupid money now, trips to the Maldives in an overwater bungalow and now an Eames chair.

I sat on a real Eames before, I love this look but it's actually not that comfortable ....having said that, I still kinda want one Grinning Face With Smiling Eyes
