[Costco] Costco.ca: LG 55-in. Smart 4K OLED TV OLED55BX $1,695 (65" $2,395)

Looks like costco.ca has their OLED LG tvs on sale. Not sure if they are on sale in store as well. This would be a great time to use your $50 coupon (gift of membership) if you purchase a gift of membership/renewal. I have a 55" lg oled and I am very impressed with it. If you purchase this TV now you are protected (price) for 90 days, so you are covered for both black Friday and boxing day.

Thats weird. I am in langley bc and it will ship to me. Do you live in an area where you have had delivery trouble before? Just thinking that shipping a large iteam might cost too much to your place?

On a side note costco.ca now sells NUC computers as well. If these go on sale this could also be a nice iteam to use you membership voucher on.

Note, this is the “BX” version. The “CX” is the better TV

Pretty tight comparison according to rtings. HDR / HDR gaming might pop more on the CX with it's higher HDR brightness?

I'm interested in knowing if one will have much of an advantage over the other when hooked up to an XBox Series X.

Geez was contemplating the 65 X900H then went to store and saw the A8H which makes me wanna go OLED.. now contemplating between A8H, CX and the Rfder in me says to go BX.. inputs appreciated here! Would be using for Netflix, YouTube, Apple TV, prime video, and eventually ps5 but not gaming a lot anymore.

Really comes down to a bit brighter, metal stand, and handles motion a bit better for the CX. Also CX has HDMI 2.1 on all inputs whereas 2 on the BX. Costco in store has the CX for $2589 (+99 for the 3 year additional warranty). The best price I could get for the CX was $2499 at most retailers right now. Ebay may have a $100 coupon again for Black Friday.

I would highly recommend OLED. I have a B7, C8 and looking to get a CX right now. The CX is my vote as I want the extra coverage for gaming (PS5 and series X). With Covid and the family "stuck" at home, using the vacation funds for better home entertainment is how I justify these unnecessary splurges.

If price ever go down more on black friday, I'm very tempted to get the BX over a sony 950. I'll try to go to a store and see the difference.

I originally purchased a B8 from costco but then they had a C8 for an even better deal. Back whent the B8 and home came the C8. To be honest the only thing I notice between them was the stand on the two was a bit different. I couldn't tell the difference in picture quality watching regu6tv and sports (no gaming).

Has anyone seen the 77CX on Costco. I know it pops up and disappears once they run out of stock and then it repeats.

Check eBay emails too as some people have 5% eBay bucks offer as well. It comes to $60 USD for this. Although should also point out most RFD'ers are all about the CX model, but I don't know the difference myself :).

Normally I'd agree but if you check out the sellers, a lot of them are just those small Toronto (or perhaps other major city) area stores/chains. I didn't check that one out but such cases have been posted on RFD and they are safe, in fact in some ways you could argue even more safe than buying from those stores directly.

I have to add a warning though learned from my own personal experience, if you purchase one of these TVs from eBay and then you also want to purchase an extended warranty from the store, make sure it's a real valid warranty, check with the warranty company.

The 950 is a considerably brighter TV so if your room gets daylight I would definitely go that way. Also it's Sony's flagship LED so image processing will trump the entry-level BX (motion, colour, etc). If you're in a dark room though, OLED will be great (I'd just go with the A8 at that point since it has the same image processor as the 950)
