[Costco] Costco.ca: Xterra FB360 Folding X-Bike $159.99

Not sure how good this bike is. Since it is from Costco, I gave it a try (i.e. buy now, think later)
If anyone bought this earlier, please give their feedback.

I think I saw the same in store for 139.99, I was also wondering for a feedback, it looks very cheap, not sure...

Something is seriously wrong with her (model in the picture) latissimus dorsi muscle.

She could be one of the ~1/5 of people whose latissimus dorsi don't connect to her scapula. Maybe she is using her trapezius, and you are seeing an over emphasized depression between lat and trap based on how she is holding the hand grips. Maybe there is something wrong with the "graphic designer" that photo-chopped her clothing to show more skin. Maybe she's and android...

On relevant side, if you are her build you probably don't exceed the 102Kg (225lbs) max rating on the bike.

I picked this up about a year ago. It does the trick for some cardio and to get some movement in you. Small footprint so if your home gym is tight for space like mine, this fits the bill.

My thought when I bought it is I probably wouldn’t regret spending less than $200 for an exercise bike that I’ll hang laundry on for a few years before giving away when I repurpose the space it was using. Surprisingly, I’ve never hung laundry on it and used it once or twice a week last winter.

Bought this last year. Excellent cloth hanger!

I occasionally ride it while watching TV and can get a good sweaty exercise. Returned NordicTrack spin bike and kept this.

Great price shipped to your door. Basic bike but has a great feature allowing us to work/workout from home: a Lenovo 12.5" x270 laptop wedges perfectly under the lip on front display portion (above the Xterra logo)!! :D

You could also keep a tablet there instead.

No comment on long term reliability but it is a Costco purchase.

I had a $20 coupon (which I got for auto-renewing my Costco membership). I had used that coupon once earlier. Surprisingly, I was able to reuse that same coupon again and get $20 discount on this one as well. If you have a coupon like that, you can also give that a try :)

I bought this at Costco.ca so that I can get some cardio when I can't bike because of the weather, and will be returning it after using it once.

PROS: It's compact, light enough for moving around, and fine for light users and people who won't pedal hard. The seat-back is good for people for sitting completely upright.

CONS: Not much resistance at highest level. On my mountain bike, my smartwatch says I average 145 bpm when I push myself for 1/2 hour at a time. On this exercise bike, at the highest resistance (which is pretty low compared to my mountain bike), I pedalled faster to get my heart rate up to about the same. After about 20 minutes, there was a regular thumping noise from the crank area and it was pretty warm to the touch. I read a few online reviews (on Amazon) mentioning this, but I hoped they got a lemon and mine would be fine. But I guess I'm above the range of their average user, so I packed it up to return.

For the price, it checks many boxes for light users. There are many folding bikes in this range, but the seat back is a bonus, along with Costco return policy. This would be good for people don't really do any cardio at all right now and want to burn some calories at a low price point. For anyone currently biking and/or doing medium amounts of cardio, they should look elsewhere, but then we're talking about $500+ for a regular exercise bike.

I called Costco Woodbridge to see if they have it in store. Was told nobody has it right now.

Thanks OP! Ordered one...let’s see how it goes lol. I’ve found other models to be too tall and long, and people keep saying it’s only good for short people, so maybe this one will be perfect :)

I just ordered one. I went in store (Kenaston Winnipeg) and asked them to look up the product code. They said that it's an online only item and not available in stores.

Comparing prices it's a good deal. Amazon carries the lower models (FB150 and FB350) and both are more expensive with less features.
