Mineral does have its advantage over sapphire...it doesn't shatter as easily. Also, I have yet to scratch a mineral watch, but then I'm very careful with any watch other than G-shocks.

Maybe, but I've scratched mineral crystals to shit and have had no problem with the sapphire one's going through the same use.

47mm isnt that big, I have a 45mm ecodrive I got back in December.. the radio controlled titanium gn-4w-s-12g

It fits nicely on my wrist and doesnt get in the way

highly recommended, but personally I cannot justify to high command getting a second.
for me size isn't the issue but weight. i have the Ti version of this and i think that's a heavy bugger. although when i do some research the weight only jumps from 175g to 202g
