Tried them before, not sure if it was a bad batch because they didn't really taste like macarons, they had a different texture instead

I agree. I suppose you can't compare fresh to fridge macarons. I also find it much sweeter than normal $2.50 macarons.

That said, can't really beat the price.

Thanks for confirming.
I always make them myself, but have been curious about how the Costco macaron can last so long and maintain the proper texture. My homemade shells lose the slight crunch after ~6 days in the fridge.

these are disgustingly sweet with no actual flavour. If you think these are good... Crying Face

These are good for folks who don't want to pay $3-4 each for decent ones. IMO, they're too expensive if I'm not able to enjoy them as macarons.

I've bought these before for my wife who is Celiac since macarons are one of the desserts that are (usually) gluten free. Unless they've changed since the last time we bought them, they contain no gluten ingredients, but may have been cross-contaminated ("may contain wheat"). This warning is usually put on items that are not made in a facility that is entirely gluten free. My wife didn't have any ill effects from them, but they were not amazing. More sugar than flavour, from what I recall.

Be sure to let it warm up for 10 minutes or so after you remove it from the fridge.

The texture changes a lot.

I'll say this is not a good buy, imo.

Macarons are expensive yes but they're unique. You are paying for that.

These ones lack that special something something. You might as well just buy Oreos or something.

Come on, nobody actually eats these things. 1 dozen were made 50 years ago and the same box has been re-gifted millions of times creating the illusion of popularity.

I agree with people who are saying they are not very good.

Everyone has different tastes of course, but the time we bought a box of these, we maybe made it through half? If that. And that was only because I didn't want to waste an entire box of them.

Did not like them. Way too sweet.
