If people start posting weekly flyers saying ''take whatever your interest'', this forum will be turning into a mess.

That section is always on Costco's website. If you're not pointing to a specific good deal, it's not worth it.

Thumbs up for the posting effort and there's never harm in posting deals that people don't know about.

I don't understand Costco's "Last Chance" description. Last chance, then what? We know what Costco sometimes does, lowering those .97s even further to get rid of them if they still remain after a couple more months. The original distributor likely doesn't want to pay the shipping and other processing costs to have them returned.

Regardless of each item being a deal or not, thanks for informing us all of link for the potential good deals.

I'm sorry but I disagree. I'm not going to actively monitor Costco's web-site for changes each day. This is a different category of sale that 90% of Costco shoppers probably wouldn't have known about. I don't understand all the hate about someone posting the information. If there are no good finds for anyone on these further reduced items, there's no reason to be upset about it.

All deal information is good. Too much deal hate causes future deal posters to hesitate about posting, and then we all lose.

I agree but that’s literally what people do all the time

Why? Are they paid for upvotes? Most people don't care at all about upvotes and just want to inform people of potential deals. There are no big other motives for their posts. Upvotes aren't going to give them a much better day.

This is the hot deals forum, not "Here's what's on sale now, take a look to see if there are any deals". Posters should at least put some effort into identifying a hot deal instead of posting just to bump their post count. People have been downvoted for warm deals, so I see no reason not to downvote for no deals.

Ok, I see your point. Perhaps the poster should have put in a few specific deals but the items are in so many different categories. With Costco, it's too bad that it's not easy to see all the price history. Some of the .97 items match their last promo price. Others are significant markdowns. There actually is a way to go through each item and look at their price histories but that could take maybe an hour. I wouldn't spend that time.

Costo .97 clearance items are always worth looking at. They'll at least match a previous promo price, and sometimes they'll go much lower. No one's forced to look at all the item listings.

Take whatever your interest! /s

BTW, it really would be a deal if I can just take whatever, without paying.
Best deal (from almost 20 years ago): 2 boxes (20 reams of 500) of HP 92 white papers from staples for $7.00
Back when staples price match and takes off 50% of the price difference. (2004)

You can. Just use the drive thru at Vaughan Mills in the wee hours of the morning!

I don't understand downvotes here. 97 deals are not too bad (e.g. this one: https://www.costco.ca/sojag-messina-6-f ... 11807.html ), and if there are multiple good deals in one link why not posting all at once? Not everybody here knows about 97 deals like some new members. But I agree having more description generally helps better. But most people don't bother to even post anything when hey see a good deal. I upvote for the try

The problem is that the last chance (used to be "going, going, gone") section on their website is there 24/7/365. There are literally always deals there ranging from cold to hot. This exact thread could be posted every single day since the selection changes. Would you be OK with that?

Looks like they are fishing for downvotes :)

Folks, we need to understand that not all Costco sales are deals.

I agree on that part that the link is always there and too many of it could be annoying. I already bookmarked the link but sometimes I forget to check it out. Not to mention, not everybody knows about "going, going, gone". It's not big deal if I see it here (but not too many times) and i can quickly scroll down. But if Op could try to at least highlight some deals, I think that could be better.
