I saw this too at the kitchener location. Didn't know whether this was a deal or not but seems a good price.

I would buy this and return my Essential phone if only it still got Android updates.

It seems you can load (unofficial) LineageOS 15.1 which is Android 8.0 Oreo. This would make a pretty nice little phone for the price.

Isn't the G5 supposed to be getting Oreo anyway?

Spotted (in the Costco East thread of last week) at numerous locations in the Greater Montreal (Laval and South Shore) locations as well. I saw it myself at Boucherville yesterday.

So this is worth getting as a backup phone, or phone for an elderly person with relatively minimal deals?

The only real downside I read was no NFC, but that essentially means no tap payments...

The rest specs really nicely.

Canada,Eh!
Isn't the regular price of this only $2 higher, at $179 elsewhere.

A lot of RFD members picked one up last month during the two month long sale for $139 at PC Mobile (RCSS), great phone, plus it came unlocked as well.

Perhaps the Costco return/warranty is better or something?

PC mobile comes with a 2 year warranty (1st year through the manufacturer + 2nd year through PC Mobile)

I remember seeing this but I wonder why the PC Mobile version was so cheap. I thought that something couldn't be right. Or, maybe it was just a great sale.
