Was not sure if it was a hot deal, but seems to be flying off, 100+ left during this time of posting.

I know this thread's a little old but how are you liking the Insignia AC from Best Buy? I was looking to purchase the same unit (https://www.bestbuy.ca/en-ca/product/in ... y/13328457) that comes to $165+tax after the 25% Energy Rebate, and was wondering what your impressions of it were a few weeks out. Appreciate the advice in advance.

No problem! It's honestly the first time I've not had central A/C but it's been functional. I just have it in my bedroom and it's been keeping me nice and chilly even on the 40 degree days, so I'll call it a win. It's certainly not quiet but it's not loud enough that it disturbs me at all. I sleep with it on no problem. Settings can be a bit confusing but again that might just be my lack of experience with non central ac units

I've been sleeping with a loud fan on the whole time so sound isn't too big of a concern for me, and based on what you told me I think I'll be buying the AC then. I'm thinking I should hook it up to a smart plug so I can turn it on and off with my phone, and my townhouse is creeping up on 40 years old without any central AC in place so anythings an upgrade from a table fan. Thanks again for your impressions on it.
I'm no electrician or anything but I'd probably suggest looking a little further into using a smart plug with it just because it takea a lot of power. It does come with a remote though if that helps?
