[Costco] [DEAD] - Hisense 100" Laser TV (Projector + Screen + Installation) - $2398, plus other models 20% off

Awesome deal - it's at the same price that it was very recently (on sale) plus now 20% off (add item to cart and you get 20% off for spending $1000+). All time low for sure - have a feeling this is going to go quick.

Honestly, even the other models (120" variant of this) and the 100" and 120" versions of the newer L9G (Trichroma model) are awesome deals too. They haven't been on sale (with this much discount) in a very long time, so now's your chance!

120" L5G - $3038

100" L9G - $3598

120" L9G - $4398

(BTW all credit to @Idawongcanada for posting the Costco spend $1000+ get 20% off promo). This was too good of a deal and was worthy of a separate thread IMO.

Great deal, but I'll wait until the eventually to be released 160" version goes on sale.

Your house must be masssive! I don't think there's a wall in any typical house that can fit something so big.

I want this so bad. I pulled thr trigger a week or so ago but had to cancel the order. I just don't think it's going to fit in my basement. My ceilings are just under 7 feet. And I don't want the projector sitting on he floor. Did some research and couldn't get a concrete answer if this will work in my situation. Saw a mounting video on YouTube by Hisense and they recommend that it sits like 20 inches off the ground and that means it won't work for me.

The 100" model should work for you, but the 120" might be too big. The 100" model is around 50" high, so you have the space for it. The 120" model would need to be placed on a very short platform if you don't want it on the floor.

Isn't the screen only ~50" tall? So top of your TV would be around 70". You'd have ~14" between the top or your TV and the ceiling..

How do these projectors match up with an Epson 5050ub? I realize They aren’t the same but quality-wise?

How tall are your ceilings?
How tall is your media unit ?
How much space is it between the top of the projector to the bottom of the screen?

Sorry for all the questions. Just wanna make sure Thisll fit in my small basement

You can from a technical standpoint, but you wouldn't want to. These types of projectors pair well with a screen that blocks ambient light (i.e. ALR screens - the one included with it). So if you project from the top, the light from the projector will be blocked to some extent, instead of just the light coming from lamps / ceiling lights in the room / any natural light coming through windows.

Bottom line - you wouldn't be getting the best possible image with that setup.

Looks to be oos? Kicking myself for cancelling my order. Just wasn't looking forward to hauling it back and waiting in a long line to return it if it didn't work for me

OOS on the 100" L5G - congrats to those who picked one up! 120" version plus 100"/120" variants of the L9G (newer model) still in stock.

Ordered 2 months ago, now $1500+ saving is so tempting… does Costco throw it away if I return an unopened box?
With the help of RFD, I've saved more than $1000!!!! (Buy spending $10000+)

What kinda of tv stands are you guys using? The depth required is like 14” away from the wall.. most tv stands are like 20-25” depth but from the placement you’d have to leave a huge gap to stand the projector.

Any luck on a low (sub 20” stand) but deep tv stand?
