[Costco] Dell xps 15 9570 I7-8750H $1499.99

I think this is a great price on a dell xps 15 with I7-8750H, 4 GB NVIDIA® GeForce GTX 1050Ti, 1080P, 8gb 2666 ram, 256gb ssd and fingerprint reader. It does have the smaller battery but it can be upgraded and add 8gb of ram and you have a great laptop. The ssd is ok for most people but laptop is cheap enough you can upgrade that too. Don't forget 90 day return and 2 year warranty. Hope this helps someone looking for a laptop.

This laptop has horrible overheating issues. I had one and I had to return it right away. Very disappointing.

BTW, OP, how do you know it's the small battery version? I don't see it mentioned in the specs.

I just assume it only has the small battery. Should know soon when I get it. I currently have the qhd version with me now and have no overheating issues. It is going back though.

I'm going to give it another try. I ordered one. It is definitely a hell of a price, though I'm super sad panda about the battery.

BTW to anyone else - 4x Aeroplan miles right now too.

Can anyone chime in re retail price and how good of a deal this is? Don’t want an overheating paperweight.

It's a good price. It's Costco so returns are easy if you must, that's why I'm going to try again.

Wifi card is not great but can get a intel 9260 on ebay for cheap. Also my ssd speed was read 2250 write 933 so that is not bad. I got a Hynix in mine.

Seems like an okay deal, about $2000 before any cashback/rebate offers... Hmmm. I think I've seen as much as 10% + 10% cashback before, making it down to $1600. Still wonder if it's a good deal or to wait.

Many laptops using i7-8750H have overheating problems (because of 6 core maybe). If you undervolt the CPU properly it will be a great laptop.

Ugh, this is exactly what I don't want to have to do. At most I want to do a clean reformat install and be on my merry way.
