Have you used it yet?

Two of the reviews complain about burning the back of their hands, since the vents point at the handle. Wondering if that’s a design flaw, or user error.

More of a design issue. You do want to take care taking the top off.
But on the plus side it dis-assembles easily and most of it can go in the dishwasher so it is very easy to clean.
