[Costco] Delonghi slim style digital convection panel heater $69.97 (in store)

Online 129

Purchased in store at the Queensway location today. There was a lot in stock.

I guess winter is almost over (hopefully) so they're clearing them out but I'll just tuck it away for next year. Reviews seem good.

Anyone know if any other locations in ON have this in stock at this price? Thanks in advance.

Call your local Costco tom and ask if they have this heater in stock, item #1477651. They will be able to let you know if they or any other location nearby has it or not.

How does this compare to the Lasko heaters that's on clearance for $39.97? I don't know much about heaters but I'm looking for one for my basement.

About the same as any other electric heater. The thermostat on this one does seem to have some black magic that makes it shockingly accurate.

I think the black magic is how so many have such inaccurate measures

Is that the pair of desktop ones or the standing one? I have both. Lasko is gonna be louder since it has a fan. I use them for localized heating (blowing hot air onto my body). The tall one is at home and the pair is at work. I tried to use the tall one to heat my 570sqft apartment, but it was really slow. My heating broke and it was negative 40 outside. It was able to raise the temperature about 1 degree every 30 minutes. I think convection heaters are better at heating spaces. But convection heaters are also bigger (usually wider).

If I had to heat a whole room, oil convection heaters always worked well for me. I assume the Delonghi works like those.

Did you notice any big change in your utility bill as this being electric?

When it comes to different types of electric heaters, a good rule of thumb for being cost effective, is to heat the room up as quick as possible. Maintaining the temperature thereafter is negligible in comparison.

As for impact on utilities, that has a lot of variables. Like size of room, how cold it gets in that room, and even humidity...

The entryway to my home is cold. It's unpleasant on the feet, for guests, and has cause some issues with condensation for windows and doors that have resulted in water damage and sagging. I run my heater as it's needed, simply for peace of mind that my house won't need future repairs from the cold.

Great heater... Got this for $99 last year, thought that was a good price. Nice and quiet heater, doesn't have that blowing fan noise, as it heats up using "radiant" heat I believe. Temp control is accurate and keeps the room to the temperature set.

Might seem like a silly question but how do you talk to someone about stock? The phone options only give me the specialty sections (pharmacy, optical, tires). The other options are administrative, membership, returns, and store hours/location. Googling the question gives me a FAW answer on the american Costco website which says to choose the membership option. Trying administrative and membership both seem to ring indefinitely. I have never been able to get someone to answer the lines and there isn't an option like every other retail store on the planet to speak to a sales associate.

Kinda/almost. One bedroom is separate, so need to keep the door open for the heater to be effective all the way there, though.

I use it on ECO mode in addition to its normal cut-off. That lets me control the power level (I keep it on medium) separate from the temp cut-off. Slight reduction in the bill compared to an old 3M forced air space heater I had (also similar wattage).
