Wow I'd get one, anyone knows if they have it at Brossard or St-Hubert?

Great price but who needs gas mowers these days? Batt mowers are 10x quieter & more convenient.

The problem with battery operated motors becomes noticeable after a few years when that battery doesn't hold charge. You'll end up having to buy an expensive new battery...that's if they even manufacture it anymore.

This engine looks identical to the 159cc "Chonda" Powermore OHV engine that came on my Yard Machines mower, which runs like a charm.

Be sure to use ethanol-free gas, or drain the tank and carb before winter, according to lawnmowerforum.com

Good deal. Still prefer corded mowers, though. They're way more economical, and you don't have to worry about buying gasoline or new batteries. Sure, the cord gets in the way at first, but if you're smart you'll have a system figured out where it is hassle free.

Yeah quite right and my problem with the battery ones. Very expensive to replace, diminishing power as times goes on along with the risk of not being able to buy a replacement. Generally the cost is higher on them too. Not entirely sure why people buy them honestly.

I've been using batt mowers for over 5yrs now, never encountered batt issues. Sure, their capacity dropped a bit but still more than enough to finish mowing in a single charge.

Just like how you must maintain gas mowers with oil changes, draining the carb before storage, adding fuel stabilizer etc, there are maintenance procedures for lithium batts. I suppose that people used to gas aren't familiar with lithium batt maint but in the right hands, a batt will easily last 7-10yrs. Buying replacement batts is also not an issue with any of the major brands, 3rd party batts are also available for around half of OEM price.

I still have a Ryobi 18v lith batt from 2009 that works fine and it's been abused but not neglected.

For the lazy,

or those that do not want to drain a motorcycle / snowmobile tank every year.

Does anyone have experience with this lawn mower? I can't seem to find any reviews on it.

Or - Is this model number Costco specific? (Known as something else in the market)?

During field testing, the mower accomplished 10,430 square feet of mowing on a single charge.

If your lot is bigger than this, then you should be using a riding mower instead.
the comment in that link seems to dispute that claim.

besides, hows that battery holdup after 2 years? 10 years? My gas mower is 20 years old and starts first pull. i get it, it's green and it's quiet --- don't care. will you even be able to replace the battery in 20 years? gas for life.

I have a 11yr old Ryobi 18v lith battery that still works great and is compatible with all current Ryobi tools. Batt mowers are better in every way.

BTW, new small gas engines are getting banned in california: https://californiaglobe.com/section-2/b ... -assembly/

Sooner or later, Canada will follow. Better stock up on spare parts for your mower.
