Woah... Large but unfortunately probably going to die under my watch... If Costco has the artificial ones at this price, please advise!

Good deal for the size but BEFORE you rush in to buy, make sure your place as adequate light to manage a giggle leaf plant. These plants need humidity and lots of light and rigorous watering schedules. They will die quickly if not well taken care of.

Doesn't Costco allow you to return dead plants?

They sure do, you just have to walk out with a sticker on your shoulder saying “shame on me. I’m a prick who’s freeloading off of Costco’s generous policy and will one day ruin it for everyone else making sincere returns.”

120$ to enter the store is so generous from Costco.

From experience, I can say that this is hard to maintain. It's very picky with its spot and the amount of watering it wants. I'll pass, but others who have a green thumb might be successful... And I envy you.

Good find OP!

I’ve never paid $120 in my life.

I make my $60 back just in gas savings, let alone the rest of their prices, extended warranty services, and being able to return things that prematurely and unacceptably break within months of normal use (rather than deal with the hassle of a manufacturers warranty program and shipping an item off).

In fact, you’re probably saving $60 by getting this plant in this thread at this Costco price vs another store.

I’m not going to shill for Costco because ultimately all corporations are greedy and aren’t necessarily our friends. That doesnt mean costco deserves abuse or misuse of a really decent policy. Relative to all the other big-name stores, they are amongst the least evil, fwiw. Complaining about the membership fee is a weak argument, and I’m not having it

And don't forget there is also prep for winter.

My front year needs some more shade.... I also need a new tree to replace my diseased cherry tree (it produces 1000s of fruit that are inedible and fall to the ground due to fruit flies and mold)
Any suggestions?

I'd prefer trees I can eat from. Preferable ones not susceptible to bugs.

Probably not the place to ask this? This thread is about an indoor plant that's for sale at Costco...

The tree in question here is meant for the indoors. I think it says so on the price tag too..

And yes, I happen to have one indoors at home.

I made the mistake with my mini fig leaf plant last year. Did an indoor/outdoor/indoor routine with the seasons; the plant did not like the last outdoor/indoor transition in September and lost all its leaves within weeks.

In retrospect, I should have left my plant indoors the whole time.
