Just FYI:

At least in Ontario, it’s NOT code to replace your fire alarm with these battery-only versions IF your house has the ability to power your fire alarm. I don’t recall the exact year, but I believe since the late 70s or 80s most new houses were built with that functionality.

Odd that they are hardwired or battery but only one has a checkmark.
Interestingly you can get these as outlet plug/battery backup, though if that image is accurate this is not it.

I'm waiting for the combo smoke AND carbon monoxide detectors to go on sale....these are a great deal though if you already have dedicated smoke detectors in the ceiling.
