Thanks op, purchased.... Any idea about quality and size of this? How does this compare to a samsung etc.? I cook a lot in my microwave (lazy piece of shit) is 1.2 cu feet big enough for a stack of pizza pops 6 inches high etc.?

I bought one too, quality seems good for the price as my old OTR was on its last legs.

I did a quick search on the brand before and apparently, they are one of the biggest microwaves manufacturers in the world, so they must know what they are doing?

It looks pretty similar spec-wise to the Whirlpool Costco used to have on the floor as well, just for $150 less.

Quality seems poor based on online reviews.

If you have a pretty standard setup for cabinets I wouldn't recommend an over the range microwave with a gas range. We've killed two microwaves in a pretty short time frame because of heat from the gas burners.

I’ve never owned a gas stove, but from my understanding over the range microwaves are not recommended, and you’ll need a 600-1000 CFM exhaust fan (depends on how much BTUs). Some homes even have a second fan/vent that’s always running.

Why is this nicer than say a samsung or lg full size on costco for like 250 to 350 dollars? Is the low profile that much better and appealing? Or is the space from a full size better? Need a microwave for new kitchen and don't know what to get

I’ve got this and installed it. Fairly straight forward install. Seems to function well. The microwave cavity is quite short, so if you have lots of tall mugs you might need to size down.

The functionality of the microwave kind of sucks. You need to press a button before you press the time you want to microwave for.

Because it is so slim sometimes putting my microwave platter shield thing on is difficult on taller bowls but you get used to it.

Overall it does the trick and at a reasonable price.

One additional thing. The LED lights it has are 5000k daylight white lights. I don’t think there is anyway to change it to a softer white as it is just a circuit board with leds on it. I called Galanz and they didn’t seem interested in giving me part numbers or selling me a softer white led.

Don't spend a little more. All microwaves are really only made by Galanz and they all crap out fairly soon. Buy something for $130ish, use if for 2 years and buy again. It kinda sucks but there is no additional quality in microwaves. They all really use the same internal components.

How did you guys find the product? Is the quality and suction comparable to brand name appliances? Looking to buy this soon too once the sale comes back on.

Yeah I saw some videos on the Whirlpool one and some glasses wouldn't fit.

Overall, how is it in terms of suction, noise, QC? I'm looking to buy it as well once it's back on sale, but there aren't many reviews.

Is it a recirc exhaust fan or are you able to duct it outside?

Are you looking for compact or standard? I got the regular price $395 LG OTR for $100 off about one month ago. It goes on sale from time to time.

Replaced the old 10 year old GE that exhaust vent died and turntable died and while internal space is maybe 2 inches or so smaller and has a smaller diameter glass turntable, it's comparable. The body does feel more plastic than my old GE and the touch sensitive buttons aren't as sensitive to touch as the GE, but other than that it works the same and has good cooking performance and standard CFM performance. Pain in the bum installing by yourself so get a helping hand or two.

I beg to differ, I have an industrial Panasonic model and it's lasted well over 10 years.

Usually you should be able to take off a few screws and turn the exhaust around to whatever venting position you want, recirc, rear, upward/roof.

Honestly the fit feel and finish feels the same as any other premium microwave to me, although i did frick up installing the front screws as i put the template on and drilled without checking and it landed RIGHT on the cam nut for the shelf itself. Major piss off i had to build out a bracket out of 2x4s to push it out a bit farther
