Costco gold membership with coupons/ cash card

Just noticed groupon has Costco memberships with lots of bonuses bringing down the effective price to $26.69

(55*1.13 tax = 62.15) for membership
Then $10 cash card
Rotisserie chicken voucher $7.99
Salad voucher $8.99
$10 off when you spend $100 at Costco.ca

So $26.69 effectively if you will use all the coupons

No excuse not to get it if you aren't a member already or haven't been a member in the last 12 months

Valid only in British Columbia, Alberta, Saskatchewan and Ontario

Misleading? Ok

Buy gold membership ($55 plus tax) get $35.46 worth of coupons/discounts to use at costco

Also noticed groupon has spend $40, get $10 off, with code "OFF", not sure if it applies to this deal

How is this misleading? Looks pretty straight forward to me? Seriously, I'm confused.

Edit:
Is it because of this: "Valid only in British Columbia, Alberta, Saskatchewan and Ontario"?

$10 off when you spend $100 at Costco is only for purchase on their website.

I changed it, didn't realize saying "effective" price is seen as misleading. It made sense in my mind

I'm not sure why all the hate. I've seen these groupons before and they seem like a good deal if you don't have a membership already. Thanks for the heads up. Been waiting for this deal to come back since last year.

Thanks OP. This is a pretty compelling offer. I wish Costco would go back to their original model of getting a large chunk of their profit from the memberships and selling stuff at cost. I feel like some of the stuff at costco these days isn't cheaper than other non-costco places. I feel like these type of deals may cut into their ability to sell things at-cost.

if I give you or Costco $26.69, can I get a gold membership? No.

I wonder if it can be used by a current member whose renewal is 3 months away

I think the problem is that you don't win friends with salad Smiling Face With Open Mouth

This deal is just hard to convert to a short title.
In fact in Rand McNally they wear hats on their feet and hamburgers eat people

These groupons seem to happen every year with the same stuff for Costco. You're just splitting hairs at this point. A deal is a deal and this is definitely a deal.

What's the link to the deal? I cannot find it.

Our Costco just expired in January. We haven't gone back yet to renew so this would be perfect :)

Edit: I think I found it.. and it's not available in the east coast :(

Won't work for you though: "This Groupon is valid for new Costco memberships and memberships that have been expired for more than 12 months."

I tried using the code "OFF", it does'nt work. It is a good deal. My membership expires this month. Is there anyway I can make use of this deal?

Not sure though...my wife is the current membership holder. Ours expired last month...can't I sign up this time, and get this to work?
