[Costco] GoPro Hero8 Bundle $349 In-store *YMMV*

Longtime lurker, not usually the first to find a deal, so not a regular poster. Be gentle with me! Hopefully, this isn't a repost.

GoPro Hero8 Bundle found in store at Costco Orillia today $349.97 includes SD card, handle, carrying case, 2nd battery. It's a back cabinet item, so I can't tell you how many are there, but there were a number of item cards at the display.

Item # 6094088

the 9 is 499 but should be dropping to 399 or 449 like every year. would this be worth the 50 to 100 savings or is 9 alot better?

In Ottawa today - no stock at Barrhaven Costco , 7 unit at Merivale Costco, maybe 5 unit at Costco by Blair Road.

Contemplating on getting one, but trying to decide between the GoPro Hero 8 Black vs DJI Osmo Action. My use case is mostly outdoor like biking, swimming/snorkling/diving, skiing and perhaps someday bungee jumping or skydiving again. Anyone with experience on both to share?

Sale for hero9 if it's ur first GoPro would be ideal vs hero8. Hero8 would be ideal if it's on sale and you also have past heros that use the same battery is a bonus.

Imo Having a hero8 is a big improvement from HEro7, but hero8 to hero9 is not a huge step up, larger battery, better stability but both model have the same gopro chip.

Insta360 One R is my personal preference.

Modularity is key when the risk of scratching a lens is high.

And ofc, don't need to buy a new model to upgrade, only the module.

FYI, 8 has horrible battery during winter, especially when skiing.
9 has shown a significantly better performance with battery life over 8.

Went late last night and couldn't find any.

Did anyone have any luck today at the Richmond Hill store?

I upgraded from HERO5 to HERO8 and am loving it!

HERO9 is nice but HERO8 is good enough.

Any suggestion on how to take underwater video? (Adding the bundle doesn't have a waterproof housing...)

The camera is already waterproof without a case. The waterproof case just lets you go deeper.

The DJI has been 199 USD on b&h for a while. Great value IMO
