Is anyone else waiting for TV deals to go down more for Boxing Day? This looks like a really good deal, but I am not sure able Hisense as a brand...

So I've seen this on sale a few times now and am waiting for the R7. It was announced and released a while back but for some reason, I haven't seen it anywhere.

Just wanted to chime in to thank OP and say the TV is now $339.99. Bought one for the inlaws and parents bought one as well. When we purchased the TV it came to $389 at the checkout. We found out today that the price is now even lower and got an adjustment after a lot of confusion. All these models were sold from the floor and even the display was gone (Atlantic Canada).

The TV's regular price was $464.99 and now dropped $5 to be $459.99. The "coupon" that gets added to mimic a sale price (automatically) was $75 but is now $120. So the new "sale" price is $339.99. Both myself and my parents got their refund this evening of $51.75.

It's been $340 for a while.

50" = $339
55" = $399
65" = $599

Wasn't aware as I didn't see it posted anywhere for this size so I thought I'd mention it here. It was not at this price at my store on December 27th as we purchased the TV then. So it only came into affect for my store either yesterday or today.

I ended up buying both the 55" and 65". I returned my VIZIO M, pretty happy so far with the Hisense sets.

Enjoy your TV! With the 29$ warrany extension it's a very good deal.

Any big difference apart from size between the 65" and 55" Hisense

Without knowing anything about this TV, Id say if you want something in this price range, go for a TCL.
Yup i'm watching(for price drop) the usa version of the 55R617 TCL HDR10 and Dobly Vision, 240 refresh rate, it's 599 usa now, if it drop to 499 and less it's going to be hard to resist

Just size difference. The frames and feet are the same,same remotes, and same specs, AFAIK.

I picked up the 55" at Rmd BC costco today. They have about 20 left each for 55" ($399) and 65" ($599).

Forgot to get extended warranty but I can get within 90 days of purchase/same as costco return policy for tvs.

Did a power meter test. The hisense 55'' TV consumes 20W when standby, this is 40 times difference than the claimed 0.5w in specification . When it is on, it consumes 100w which is OK.
20 W x 24 hour = 480 Watt per day idle, that's crazy!
I don't have the "fast startup" option on. Specifications:

So does costco do price guarantee adjustments if the 50inch is on sale for 339? I bought online if that makes a difference.
