I would give my life to protect your right to say something really funking stupid.

Respect your OP's. They don't get paid to do this, and don't have to come here to post their deals for you. They can all just hoard their deals in silence, if you prefer?

Looks like 133 available online.
If you got one for more online within 30 days, call or use the online page for a refund of the difference, while they are available at $518 and in stock.

Yep. I sent a TV back at 85 days late last year, with no problem.

Thanks!
I haven't even seen one of these Q7G's in person, so I can't really compare them directly. I'm not even sure how many dimming zones they have.
Theoretically you should get a wider color palette,
Higher brightness for HDR, and some improvement in black level.

It's really a personal and subjective choice, though.
A large part of it would be if you are happy with the
R6G in the setting that you are using it in, or if you have that nagging feeling that you should have spent a little more?
If you were satisfied up until now, I would say keep the $100 and the extra 3", if not, maybe order one of these and send one TV back after comparison, if you have time on the R6G.

Lots of info in the other thread: costco-hisense-q7g-55-4k-uled-tv-597-w-fs-2379712/

Basically this is the Q8G without the wide colour gamut, but can be configured to perform very close to Q8G. Good price for a high performing budget TV shipped with 2 year protection.

I'm waiting for the 65" to go on sale and will pull the trigger.

Also waiting for the 65". If the TCL 65" 6-series gets a nice price drop and restock, might pull the trigger on that and gamble on the screen.

Buy now regret later. Extra 5% cashback from Costco.ca purchases doesn't hurt either. I needed a small budget TV for my new condo living room rental, and will use it as my future bedroom TV when I get my own place.

Probably not available in store, but still possible.
You could always check your local store by phone.
Admin will usually check availability for you.

Just called, not available in store
Based on my research, the only difference of this tv to the well reviewed Q8G version is the WCG..

Is wide color gamut noticable?

If i purchase the excellence plus extended warranty and i decide to return the tv within 90 days. Are they going to refund the extended warranty cost?

Bought one. Thanks OP.

Was debating whether i should opt in for the 3 years extra warranty for $60 but told myself 2 years should be enough...

What exactly does Costco cover under their 2 year free warranty?

How do you configure it to perform like Q8G? Any links? Thanks

See this thread: https://www.reddit.com/r/Hisense/commen ... dium=web2x

Hi Sense themselves said the lack of WCG can be compensated for in the advanced settings. I assume this means getting calibration software and doing the work yourself or hiring someone.

They do refund the warranty cost, if you return the TV.

ES_Revenge was mentioning this earlier too (on the other Q7G thread) and I think he is right. WCG for this model is something that's purely software. The panels used for the TV (Q7G vs Q8G) are identical so its very possible that software has been tweaked to just turn off WCG. If you are component enough, or can hire someone, you can probably get it to Q8G WCG levels (although its not much of a diff)

PS - I've owned the Q7G for over a month now. Fantastic TV and great value for money.

Yes 6 series is much brighter but I would recommend not letting brightness deter your judgment too much. Unless your after spectacular HDR, this TV is plenty bright. I have it in my living room with natural light coming in from 3 different large windows and its great
