[Costco] Hisense 58 in. 4K Roku Smart Television 58R63G - $489.99

Hisense 58 in. 4K Roku Smart Television 58R63G
Item 8686358
$489.99 ends today (Sunday March 20, 2022, part of 2 day weekend sale)
Extended warranty $29.99 for tv's under $500.

I bought tv with extended warranty and enviro fee = $589.24

I bought it at Burnaby (Willingdon) location, but also saw them at Brighton while getting tires done.
Both locations had 2 skids of them stacked, at least 10 at each location.

Good price
I bought it at 568$ on boxing day 2021 at Costco.
Good tv definitely an upgrade for my 1080p Toshiba.
Very happy with it. Even though a lot of reviews were so so

Bought one yesterday. Great deal since the sale price also brings the warranty price down.

Set it up yesterday. So far so good!

Before buying any tv, I suggest going to best buy and see all of them running side by side. Decide which picture quality is the best and go for the one that fits in your budget. 50 or 100 dollar more and less really does not matter considering we buy it for several years and use it everyday. I personally like Samsung image quality.

Don't trust the side by side comparison. Not all tvs are calibrated correctly. From what I've heard some companies actually pay more to have their tv calibrated to optimum settings and to have the best HD feed displayed.
The other tvs have little to no calibration and worse video feed.

Look at lots of reviews before deciding.

This is a pretty basic TV, for a few inches less, and a bit more, I'd rather get the other Hisense deal that was posted. 55" but is QLED has local dimming and is better quality I'm general.

I was at Walmart and they had none of them optimized and were using a 1080p feed. Frankly that's what made me realize for day to day, basic to qled, experience is pretty darn same.

Why is this thread so slow? Seems like a really hot deal. Is there any reason why I shouldn't drive down to Costco right now to pick one up lol

I'm not toooo particular about picture quality.

I wouldn't recommend Hisense to being with. I had one for just over 1 year before it died out on me. Look on the Hisense reddit forums and you'll see tons of posts from people complaining about their TVs dying in 1-2 yrs (just outside of warranty period).

Pay a bit more with a reputable brand and avoid the headaches. Unless, you don't mind buying a TV every year or two.

I don't see the right price on Costco. Am I doing something wrong?

Only have to buy every 5 years with the affordable Costco extended warranty.

Yes, I would recommend that as well with Hisense TV. Extended warranty is a must!

My Hisense also died in the 2nd year. Always get extended warranties at Costco since it's so cheap. Costco gave me a full refund, going to continue buying my tv's there from now on.
