[Costco] Hisense U6GR - 55" - $658.99| 4K - Local Dimming - HDR10/Dolby Vision/Dolby Atmos - HDMI 2.1/eARC/VRR - Roku TV

Just saw this TV today at Costco - Pointe-Claire/QC

I have it and it's being as expected, very good image quality/nits, fast and everything else. The only thing is the sound: I think its similar to a laptop, very can-like. Since I paired it with a Sonos Beam Gen 2, I'm really happy.

I hope this helps others to get a good tv + save a few bucks.

Edit:
- Review from Rtings.com: https://www.rtings.com/tv/reviews/hisense/u6gr
- Costco gives 2 years warranty and for 59,90 you get another 3 extra years.
- I was looking for a long time for a good TV (mainly for movies/tv shows) within this price range, the best picture quality and some good extras. Black Friday was disappointing and Boxing Day is going the same way, therefore this was the best deal. You can try comparing this to other $650 uled/qled/nano TVs (via Rtings is easy).

- In time: the narrow viewing angles mentioned on Rtings are not that bad at all (compared to my TCL S425). What happens is that the image becomes kind of overexposed but even from a 120 degree angle 5m away I could understand what was going on the scene.

- In time (2): the TV is close to a big window and balcony door. And its being a breezy to watch stuff now, since it's handling brightness very well (see Rtings review SDR/HDR brightness about this).

U7g is going on sale? I just ordered the 75” and I’m also looking to get a 65” if it goes on sale I’ll wait.

Do you know for how much?

It's technically on "sale" right now and a far better TV than anything even close to its price range. I'm expecting to see it drop a bit more this weekend.

Wondering myself where these magical deals are going to come from given Boxing Day flyers are already out, lol. Boxing Day has just been a repeat of Black Friday for the last couple years.

I bought the 55" U6G not R last month from Amazon for 699$. Its a great TV, nice picture quality. I believe both are 60Hz and are similar. True 120Hz is more expensive, the U7G. Not sure if my TV has HDMI 2.1 and VRR though it doesn't need these as its only 60Hz.
The TCL 6 series has better reviews but is 200$ more expensive on discount.

Speculation or not, I'll practice a bit of patience for now knowing that it might save me a 100$ or more.

It's Costco. Buy it now while it's still in stock then price match if it does down.

Where do you see 646 for the same price? 635 is the same price.

That will only work if Costco reduces the price. They don't price match other retailers.

Best Buy has TCL S6 646 65” for $1299, only $100 more then 65” U7G.
Currently no in store pick up but the other day it was in stock for pick up in YVR area.

Hmmm… this, the TCL 646, or the Sony X90J… all are around the $2000 price point for a 75”… tough choice…. I do like that the Sony tends to be calibrated out of the box…. For me, it comes down to picture quality, game and sports (hockey) viewing ability, and bonus points for better viewing angles… sound doesn’t matter as it will be hooked up to a home theatre receiver.

That you can’t beat a Sony. TCL had a lot of QC issues, it’s luck of the draw.

Looks like the Sony price may not go as low as Black Friday for Boxing Day,,, Unfortunately
