[Costco] Honeywell - Particulate Respirator N95 - 50 masks $34.97

I'm sure everyone is getting tired of seeing masks, but if you're still looking for some, Costco has Honeywell - Particulate Respirator N95 - 50 masks on for $34.97.

Over 999 in stock. Price might drop again.

Was $29.97 in store, but most locations are sold out.

I recall reading some studies and these are NIOSH approved, but they always come a slightly behind the 3m ones in particulate filtration percentages. Still a very good deal to prepare for the next variant.

Do these seal well around the nose?
I have tried many different n95's (+ a few kn95's), can never get a good seal.

Reviews are mixed on if it is too small for a large head.

I wasn't fond of these masks because they were too small for my face and the strap kept on breaking as a result. So be aware this would work best if you have a small face. What constitutes small? That I can't help with - someone insert a joke here though -->

It doesn't hurt to have a good stock of N95 masks. Masking has become second nature to me when I'm entering a business.

Really, does anyone need to see my sorry face? Face With Tears Of Joy

All kidding aside, wearing N95s when I'm out and about will probably keep me healthier as I'm reducing my risks for catching whatever other virus or bacteria are floating around (in addition to Covid).

Everyone basically has to do their own risk assessment.

Metrotown / Burnaby …
There were tons at Burnaby (Still Creek) around 5 pm today: $29.97

I had bought a box of these mid January when they were $56.99+ $3.99 PST = $60.98 total
(Still unopened, since I was using Vitactore masks, which were pretty expensive)

So I will likely return the January purchase, as the price now is effectively 50% off.

That said, I still believe in masks. I managed to stay Covid-free for over 2 years...
A month or so ago, we had a meeting at our client's office.
Nobody at that meeting wore a mask, so I felt out of place and removed mine...
Well that was stupid on my part.

A week or so later I started having a bit of like sore throat at night, and it progressed very quickly overnight, had high fever, sore throat (felt more like swelled throat), terrible-terrible headache, etc., etc, Did an anti-gen test at the end of that day 1 (as I call it) and it was positive. Let's just say it was like that for about 3+ days, before it finally started gradually calming down. I would say I was back to normal-ish after 7 days. Afterwards I still had terrible coughs for probably 10+ days. (Interestingly enough did not lose taste/smell.

I consider myself fit, healthy, eating healthy, was fully vaxed (3 doses of Moderna).
And yet, it got me pretty bad.

Back in January my wife contracted Omicron and it wasn't that bad.
(at the time I wore mask around house to prevent the spread, and managed to stay covid free)

Personally I feel that masks do help, and will continue wearing it at high-trafficked areas like when shopping etc.

chem smell goes away after you wear it for 10 mins. Breathing is never easy when the mask is working properly, nor do you want it to be easy, but is reasonable. Wouldnt want to do a workout with it on.

Just curious... How did you manage to order online without membership? This practice was discontinued a while ago.
