22 years of what? What war/disaster scenario can you wait out undisturbed, eating from a bucket for that long? Remember technology today includes drones and satellites with thermal imaging. I can see having maybe a handful of pails in a hideout somewhere if you wanted to go 6 months, anymore than that is inconceivable.

Not to mention the "Just add water" part of all this. Chances are if you're using this, you likely do not have access to clean water.

Don't laugh I know some one that has a bunker style dooms day bunker at his cottage.He mentioned he had 2 years of military MRE.He said we are doomed then I ask him then why waste your time working.
