[Costco] [Hot] Global 8 Inch Chef Knife and Multipurpose Knife - $99

Costco has a 2 pack set of Global knives on sale. The set includes a Chef's knife and a multipurpose knife (G2 and GS1)

I have 2 similar knives I got from Costco a while back and love them. They are a good beginner's knife and for $100 it's a no brainer if you cook regularly.

I use a Miniosharp to keep my knives constantly sharp.

The multipurpose is a great knife for doing quick and small jobs like cutting fruits/veggies, prep work etc.

They had about 907 in stock as of 11:30am EST.

As always with Costco, you can buy now and think later.

Global knives are not for everyone as the handle can be uncomfortable and the grip isn't the best. It's really a hold and try, then decide kind of item.

Depends on which one we're talking about. There are so many different models and you can generalize but it won't be much help.

I picked up the Global Ni set last time it was on sale. Unbelievably sharp, but the handle is small for me.

I still tend to default to my twin master chefs knife with that big comfy yellow handle.

The small knife is a bit small. Global knives are very highly rated on cooking for engineers. I have a 3 piece set and I like it . I am not sure I like this set because the small knife is too small. The design and the comfort are polarizing. Anthony bourdain I think endorsed them too

Any reason for the handle to have that design? It looks small and the handle on the utility knife looks weird.

Thanks OP. I have a G2 and it's the best knife I've owned. Going to pick this up as a gift.

That's what I need it. Thank you very much.

Yea, that handle looks dangerous to me like it would get slippery

I'll wait for a deal on a knife with a bigger handle

Unless I can be convinced otherwise, maybe I should stop by a warehouse next week and see how crazy it is

Hot deal for sure! I paid about 200$ on Williams equipment years ago.

but I don't use the small knife much. i cut fruits and veggies (cucumbers, orange, tomato, apples) but I go back to my wusthof or twin pairing knife or simply the chef knife

Use a proper pinch grip and steady cutting surface and there should be no issues with slipping
