I have hundred of those in my warehouse. They are nearly always this price somewhere (costco, home hardware, rona, walmart, ..)
They are solid, the outer edge is easy to crack if you are not careful but they are still solid. We personally don't put the bottom stand under each leg because they are useless.

edit: Mine and the one I speak about are not adjustable.

On the scale from ice cold to lava hot, this is a warmish deal:

0% - 5% off - ice cold
5% - 25% off - warmish
25% - 35% off - warm
35% - 50% off - hot
50% - 99% off - lava hot
100% off - n/a, belongs in Freebies forum

74% says not a good price? It's something cheap that rarely goes on sale. Seems decent to me.

Does anyone else find that these plastic shelves sag over time with anything slightly heavy on them? Are there brands or styles that sag less?

They're great (plastic shelves in general) for inside a garden shed to store oil, gas, etc.

All "plastic" shelves are not made equally strong.

I compared the ones from Costco to similar shelves at Canadian Tire a few years ago. I decided on Costco because I knew they could easily be returned for refund if they sagged or cracked.

The one from Canadian Tire seemed to be a cheaper, softer grade of thermoplastic material. The one from Costco also had a stronger cross pattern on the underside, and did not seem to flex as much when I pressed on the sides. After all those years of use in my laundry room, supporting reasonably heavy objects like bottles of liquid detergent and some sporting goods, the shelves have held up remarkably and show no obvious sagging or cracks.

The best quality shelves use a good quality of ABS resin material that is melted and injected into a mould. if the ABS resin is of good quality, and the injection process is controlled properly with correct temperatures and times for cooling, the finished product will be reasonable quality. Poor quality control will result in shelves that are warped upon cooling - similar to what comes from a Dollar Store product.

"ABS has a low melting point, which enables its easy use in the injection moulding process and 3D printing. It also has high tensile strength and is very resistant to physical impacts and chemical corrosion, which allow the finished plastic to withstand heavy use and adverse environmental conditions."

Some shelves may in fact be made from PVC which is more flexible than ABS, and these would sag more easily.

In addition to good quality resin and good quality control, proper design of the shelf geometry will help minimize sagging, A quick visual check of comparable shelves at each store may reveal differences. The depth of the ribbing or cross pattern on the underside will help judge the strength of shelf. The greater the number of rows/columns in the cross pattern and the greater the (vertical) depth of those pieces, the greater the overall strength. Bring a tape measure to help your comparison, and also take photos of the underside.

I don't know whether the Costco shelves are PVC or ABS to be honest. The Home Depot shelves are stated to be PVC.

Edit: Home Depot also has the Accent brand shelving which appears to be the same as the Costco ones (I can't see model number for Costco to compare though). Their Gracious Living brand are PVC.

Home Depot shelving...

Kitchener
I bought a bunch of the previous non-adjustable version at full price. Oh well. I did price adjust one of the new version. The display at Kitchener location is of the non-adjustable version and they put it together upside down...

I don't have anything to compare to and haven't had them much, but they're easy to put together and seem sturdy enough.
