Thanks @redflagdealsguy ! Have you tried or had any hands-on time with each of the models? I'm using a 2013 MBP right now and it's been mostly fine, but starts chugging when I have more than 5 tabs open and can't handle light gaming. Can you comment on the general portability and cooling/fan noise on any of these?

Not needing to carry it around with one hand all the time but being able to use it comfortably in bed or on the couch sometimes is something I'm curious about.

If you never cleaned and repasted your laptop then i would do that first. Speed issue could be due to heat.

I haven't but I appreciate the suggestion. The fans don't seem to be overworking and it's been staying cool, but it may be worth opening it up and taking a look.

I want this. I just want it because of the 15” and the cpu and the 2 in 1, but if only it was lighter and had a brighter screen. Anyone know of one like this that might come out later this year?

Also for those that have it is the battery length decent?

Awesome info, I just did a similar writeup in the Flex 14 thread with the Ideapad 5, the $899 HP from costco, and the Flex 14.

The first one is pretty much the same as the one in this thread except 4500U, 512gb, and no USB c dongle right? For $200 less hmmmmmm

Looking at the detailed specs, here are all the differences between the $899.99 Envy x360 vs $1099.99 Envy x360:

4500U vs 4700U
512GB vs 1TB
4-cell, 55.67Wh Battery vs 3-cell, 51Wh Battery
USB-C at 5Gbps vs USB-C at 10 Gbps
Slightly bigger but thinner 35.9x24.6x1.72 vs 35.8x23.0x1.89 probably due to the bigger battery?
Heavier 4.53lbs vs 4.42lbs probably due to the bigger battery?
No USB-C hub vs USB-C hub included

Worth $200 less? Maybe if you don't necessarily need the 1TB of storage, but it's OOS now Crying Face

$899.99 one actually has a bigger battery (4-cell, 55.67 Wh vs 3-cell, 51 Wh)
Congratulations!

Also, the 512GB model has a 2 speaker B&O sound system instead of a 3 speaker B&O sound system... and the Port arrangement is different (i.e. HDMI on the right instead of on the left)

Interesting.... didn't notice that. Also a much thicker bezel at the bottom of the screen and different shell. There's a vent on both sides on the $899.99 one, a manual cam kill switch, the power button is on the left side instead of on the keyboard, and the fingerprint reader is in a different spot. That's odd - it almost looks like the body from last year's model.
Congratulations!

It does look like last model year's chassis. Why would HP do that? New chassis for the 4700u and the older chassis for the 4500u?
