Userbenchmark is highly biased against multicore CPU performance.

PassMark is better, though wonks find criticism in both.

I use PM in a pinch.

4500U vs 4700U
512GB vs 1TB
4-cell, 55.67Wh Battery vs 3-cell, 51Wh Battery
USB-C at 5Gbps vs USB-C at 10 Gbps
Slightly bigger but thinner 35.9x24.6x1.72 vs 35.8x23.0x1.89 probably due to the bigger battery?
Heavier 4.53lbs vs 4.42lbs probably due to the bigger battery?
No USB-C hub vs USB-C hub included

Worth $200 less? Maybe if you don't necessarily need the 1TB of storage, but it's OOS now Crying Face

$899.99 one actually has a bigger battery (4-cell, 55.67 Wh vs 3-cell, 51 Wh)
The 4500U has a much bigger bottom bezel. This may or may not be a good thing.

I got mine today here's a quick review:

What I like: form factor, performance, track pad, fingerprint reader, speakers and even the screen is not bad for non-gamers, full USB-C.

What I dislike: the power button is on the keyboard - really bad choice should be on the side, bilingual keyboard - mistyping a lot, runs warm and loud - I'll try the Firmware update.

Unfortunately that wont change. I have an 3500U and the fan goes from off to turbine and then off again. I do not understand why HP cant have the fan spin at a low rpm and then go higher if needed...

bg8055, what 32GB memory kit did you upgrade your laptop with? Was it difficult to do? Is the memory running @ 3200?

Ryes I did the extra warranty through Costco.
Because I will be using outdoors on a atv a fair amount and there is a good chance it falls off the seat.
