[Costco] HP Omen 15 - $1499 at Costco ($100 off)

Been keeping an eye on this, and saw it was $100 off this morning.

My requirements are:
Ryzen 7 4800
16GB of RAM at least, upgradable to 32GB
Wifi 6
Good connectivity for two external monitors
Decent Cooling

Couldn't find a better option for the money. If you can, let me know in the comments!

Unfortunately, this is the inferior 60hz screen version.

The 144hz version with Ryzen 7 is really good all around, including great thermals.

Is it just the screen that's different? I'm a software developer, will be using 2 external screens 90+% of the time.

My 1099 Envy laptop is advertised to be equipped with a 300 nits screen but it’s dimmer than my 1 year old Lenovo Y540 which is also advertised with a 300 nits screen.

Waiting for a 4900H with the following:
  • 100% sRGB 144Hz display
  • At least an RTX 2060.
  • 2 RAM slots at least.
  • 2 m.2 slots at least.
  • Good keyboard.
  • Decent Linux support.
  • Customizable fan profile.
  • Has USB-C charging.
  • Has USB 4 (waiting on this)
  • Decent speakers would be nice.
  • Under $2500 CAD.
I'm dreaming...

The $2500 G14 was so close...but only has one RAM slot and runs on HS procs. (Looking at having 64GB RAM...with a 4900H processor)
The $1700 A15 was also close...but display and overall build quality sucks.

Thanks for the post! I'll get my $100 difference. So far I have the laptop for a week and I quite like it except for the fact it's a fingerprint magnet. Not too much bloatware, screen is pretty nice for it being 250nit and 60hz (I'm not a FPS type player) RAM you can upgrade to 64gb. The SSD is Samsung in the machine I have.

Been deciding between this, the FUP 15, the Acer Predator Helios 300. Trying to find a decent gaming / recording laptop in the 1500 range. Thanks for posting op!

what's big difference between H and HS, better graphics with H models?. I'm looking at HS because i 35w tdp and battery for work more than 2 hours. the 4800hs would prob do, zepohyrus looks sleak enough as a portable solution although pricey should it fall to 1100 would make sense assuming they fix all the bugs?
