[Costco] Hunter Hunter 54 in. Romulus Smart Wi-Fi Enabled Ceiling Fan on sale $179 in store only

Hunter Romulus Smart Ceiling fan on sale for $179 - regular $239.

This fan was mentioned in a previous thread on a different Hunter ceiling fan as being a very good one and now it's on sale.
I'm not sure how long it's on sale - maybe only the weekend as I spotted it in the cocowest weekend sale email blog.
And it's only on sale in store it seems.

Here's a link to the manual - https://s7d5.scene7.com/is/content/HunterFan/3722-01pdf

I picked this up recently.
Pretty happy with it overall.
Installation was a breeze.

Biggest downside is that I’m not sure what to do if the LED burns out. Seems like a custom part and they don’t sell replacements.

Also, the iOS app doesn’t work if you hit sign in.
Hit “continue with fewer features”, click the fan, then under settings, you can sign in from there if you’re planning on using Alexa. Hopefully that’ll save you a couple hours.

Any chance they have a Federation or Klingon version? I won't forgive the Romulans for what they did on Bajor.

Speaking of Hunter x Hunter the package colors are giving off some strong Gon Freecss vibes.

Very interested in this.

I would assume the switch always needs to remain on, and the fan/light can be controlled independently via remote/wifi?

So if my switch currently controls 2 ceiling lights, need some wiring changes to bypass the switch

I was expecting a Hunter x Hunter themed fan based on the title

See my post above.Alexa and homekit works but you might lose some brain cells setting it up via their app. I haven't tried the google integration but i'm sure it works.

This looks like a good deal.
But! What's the colour temperature of the LEDs? 3000K?

Yes, take your receipt to the returns desk and they will refund you the difference.

Only if there is stock at that location you’re looking to get the difference.

The only difficult part is ensure you have the correct support above where you mount it. If your electrical box is only secured to a small 2x4 or plywood, you need to mount a proper piece of timber before attaching the bracket.

Kanata Costco doesn't carry any ceiling fan in the store to save someone else the trip.
