I just bought this weekend and it will arrive tomorrow, there is not too much information abouy the 677 model oit there but seems very close to the 675, for this price is a really good deal, or pay $249 for the 614, base model, at Best Buy, I will give a chance I hope I get lucky on this.

Not sure. Best Buy has it for $480.

That’s my only comparison so far

Are robots as good as stick-vacuums nowadays? Or, does it make sense to wait for another Dyson refurb sale?

Different tools for different usage :

- Robot : you can run it while at work / multiple times a week - without you "doing" anything ie "passive" cleaning. To me - it matters not that much the performance vs Stick vacs because you just run it more often. The main issue is will it navigate our floor plan properly.

- Stick vac : when there is a boo boo somewhere in the house

- Disclaimer : I know little about "this" particular robot - having used wirecutter #1 rated one (Anker model from 3 years ago and Ecovac currently)

It's been this price several times before and it's been upvoted highly.

The suction is considered poor compared to Eufy ones, however this Roomba does have WIFI. The Eufy ones go for $230 while this goes for $300.

Roomba is a brand name while Eufy is owned by Anker.

Roomba is by Costco which has a nicer return policy.

Eufy seems to navigate better, lasts longer, has better suction and is thinner. But NO WiFi.

Edit:
According to reviews, Eufy (11s - $240) has 1300 pa, while Roomba is 600pa.

Anker is considered a solid brand by many people, however I've never had Anker products so I can't voucher for their quality.

Eufy is supposed to be much quieter according to reviews.

I would not recommend either if you have pets.

It goes on this price a couple times a year. I've been contemplating one, so I've been watching the prices and reading about them.

Wife wants one of this roomba, is this model good for hardwood?
Also, what is the use of WIFI on this kind of vacuum?

This seems like a good deal but so hard to compare to other models because there are so many! Does anyone know how this compares to the e6 that was on sale at Costco for $390 during BF?

Two questions on this model:

1. Does this model do its own mapping?
2. Will it work on surfaces that are part hardwood and part carpet?

And a general question: for those of you who have one of these robot vacuums, is this your only vacuum, or do you have a regular hand held vacuum as well for stairs, multiple floors etc.?

I have more than one robot vacuum (not this kind). They do daily cleaning on different floors and I will occasionally do a deeper clean when it needs it or if someone spilt something.

I am new to this so 2 questions:

1. What's Wifi for?
2. How long does suction last till I need to buy a new one?
