Calories is never the problem, how thick the crap make up the calories is the problem.

This is why I've stopped buying these!
That's almost 2x the amount of sugar compared to a can of coke
4 cakes = 212g of sugar -
Also 40g of fat per cake!

Diabetes and a heart attack rolled up all in one desert. lol

I bought these because of RFD, it was absolutely disgusting.

Reading the comments, I thought I was the only one but alas, there's YouTube videos dedicated to Westerners tasting them

Mooncake is an acquired taste. My family loves them but not me. And to everyone saying they are sugary and high calorie, you are only supposed to eat 1/8 or 1/4 at a time. No one eats a whole mooncake by themselves.

As a personal general rule of thumb I do not eat anything that is Made in China....nothing against the Chinese, I just don’t have enough faith in their food.

Got a yellow box. They're so delicious. I would say it's very well made. :D

The pile of mooncake at my Costco is barely touched.

Costco chose the wrong mooncakes. Poor taste and made in China.

If you're eating 53g of sugar, it better be worth it. These are not.

Unfortunately moon cakes are one of those items that some people like it and some don't.. It's a traditional Chinese pastry...

Definitely an acquired taste, but everybody I know loves these ones over the other brands.

I see a lot of company doing this now,
just say imported or made from imported ingredients

they just don't want to put "Made in China " on the box

or they put made in PRC
one pic I show online was a Korean looking product that only has Korean writing of "Made in China"

They sell the white lotus paste ones at my local Walmart in a tin for $12.50. Same brand, and they taste amazing. Pretty sure they're the same ones that Mandarin buys, since the individual wrappers are identical.
