[Costco] Kirkland Engine Oil 2-Pack 0w20/5w20/5w30 - $31 (in-store) / $45 (online).

Came across Kirkland engine oil at Elgin Mills Costco last night; they only have the 5W30 2-pack in stock for $31; I checked online and they also have 0W20 and 5W20 but cost more due to shipping.

Engine oil is made by Warren Distribution; unsure about its quality.

Has anyone used this product in their car?\\

Quality is very good. There are a few videos on YouTube showing the oil analysis.

Do I care?
No need to stock up if it's regular item. Now you don't need to play mail in rebate game. Kirkland wouldn't put their name on an item with subpar quality.

Their in-store Castrol pricing hasn't been great anyway so this is fantastic if they replace with this.

I use valvoline and the lowest is usally around BF for $20/4.73L. These don't seem to the highest grade of synthetic though. The highest grades sell for $45+

The Castrol pricing isn’t great? It’s been awhile since I bough, but wanted to pick one up this week for an oil change..

They only carry Castrol in-store and it's never been under $20 on any sales. Other retailers more or less sell for same during their sale. I've been playing MIR game with Pennzoil/Quaker (Shell).

I thought One must use Syn from day 1 (new car). should not switch over from conventional oil if it is older car.

Lot's of cars use synthetic OR conventional motor oil. Both work fine.
Synthetic oil is better in the Winter cold weather for easier starts.

Wonder if ALL oil grades are available in-store?

Noticed regular Castrol GTX is $46.99 online for 3 pack. So your getting conventional at about an extra jug for similar cost of OP(just not synthetic).

Thanks OP. Up voted. I'm getting more confidence in the Kirkland Signature brand now. For sure Costco has paid a lot of attention to it. Look at the Kirkland toilet paper (not Charmin anymore), Kirkland ice cream bars (better than Häagen-Dazs personally), the Kirkland Allergy Med (same ingredients as Reactine but costs half the price). Good for consumers to have more competitions. I won't completely fall into it but I will try it out. And will keep using it if it is good.
