[Costco] Lego Grand Piano $429.99

Was just browsing Costco for lego and saw that the grand piano is in stock for $429.99. $50 cheaper than retail.

For something that probably won't ever go on sale I think this is a good deal for those who want the set.

Cuz this one is rated 18+!!! Can you find a real 18+ piano?

For real, can you find a real grand piano for 400$? Legos are for fun, to play and collect.

Because this is a building set and some people like to do stuff like this. Why don't you try going to the other Lego thread for the birds of paradise set and ask why don't people go buy the real flowers instead.

At least the fake flower can be displayed and doesn't die?

 What kind of logic is that? Can I also say that if I buy this set, at least I don't have to spend $7k - $30k on a real grand piano? And I can display it and don't have to spend money tuning it?

Buy it. You need to treat yourself. How cool would this be sitting in that special spot of yours

Really cool, just look up the video and maybe you'll appreciate it more. The intricate details and the craftsmanship actually might make it a worthwhile investment.

Keep in mind that this is not a “playable” piano. If you’re unsure, go watch a review video on YouTube.

It's not? It makes it seem like it is? What are the 6 AAA batteries and the app for?
moto g 5g, on LineageOS (in an otterbox case because gorilla glass is too much of a luxury for motorola) moto g8 power, on public mobile's 120$ with tax 12GB plan/3 mths

I was pretty skeptical about a $430 mini piano, but after watching that video… it’s pretty amazing. I had no idea they made lego this complex.

Great find OP.

For people skeptical about the value of Lego sets, just want to share a bit about the interesting side of this hobby. IDEAS line of Lego first came out in 2010 and the annual growth of the sets is like 12.5% (based on retail price, before tax). If you add to the value of the bonus items that come with them, you may end up with some profit after a few years. https://www.brickeconomy.com/sets/theme/ideas

Of course, there are a lot of other sub-themes that appreciate more than IDEAS, like the Architect Series. Man, I think LEGO is almost mocking me who missed the Marina Bay Sands of Singapore (21021) in 2013 by releasing the 21057 Singapore next year. That little puppy is now worth 10x more.

As a consolation prize, I did score a few boxes of Wall-E that were posted by fellow RFDers. walmart-lego-ideas-wall-e-21303-50-tax-fs-2048864/
I did enjoy a lot the details and efforts of the designers of the IDEAS theme and it will remain my favourite "TOY".
