Found lego ninjago "medium assortment" on sale reduced from 39.99 to 29.99.

Check the regular price before thinking this is a good deal. Ninjago Lego sets go 20% discount at Toysrus almost every month so it's not really a good deal. All three mentioned by OP is regular price $49.99 but many stores have them under $39.99 and gets further discounted regularly too.
I don't think these Ninjago sets are selling well compare to other Lego sets. My son loves watching Ninjago but many of his friends don't even know about it.

My wife picked up a set today (70652) for $30. Son has been asking about these sets for a while, so nice to get a last minute addition for Christmas day.

Edited post for clarification, price is 29.99 for all the sets listed, down from 39.99
