Just picked up 2 b8 55" in Langley (1 for my MIL). Not all locations carry the B series so it's best to call first. Langley still had 7 as of 5pm today.
Koodo $35 5 Gig deal (x2)

Pretty much. The main difference is processing/upscaling. Matters to some esp when watching lower quality content (e.g. tv box). But lots of ppl are happy with vizio w/ almost non existent upscaling, so to most, b8 would make more sense.

The biggest problem is CNN and MSNBC. Heavy user of those channel should not buy an OLED.

May not have stock of B8/C8 by this BF. Most likely they are trying to clear out inventory at this price. Ppl are usually trying to weigh between B8/C8 now vs B9/C9 at BF, but with that logic you'll always be sitting on the sideline, always waiting. That delayed gratification with marshmallow thing is overrated.rightthing wrote: ↑Jun 9th, 2019 10:25 amI am not sure if I should get the 55" at this price or wait for a killer deal on BF for a 65" OLED. What would you guys recommend? Will we see this low a price during BF even for the 55"?

I believe I bought my 55" C8 on BF savings and it was $1999 so there might be a deal on a C9 but I am guessing these will be long gone.rightthing wrote: ↑Jun 9th, 2019 10:25 amI am not sure if I should get the 55" at this price or wait for a killer deal on BF for a 65" OLED. Thanks for the info. Just got one at $1489.99 at the Cyrville (Innes) location. It was actually mislabelled as the 55C8 but they don't have that model in stock. Too bad as I would have argued to make them honour the labelled price. Apparently, Kanata location has the 55C8 in stock but it is correctly labelled at $1,999. I am still very happy with getting the 55B8 at $1,489.99. It is a fantastic TV and that is a very good price for it. It is the lowest that I have seen it.

Would you say watching NFL weekly (8hr Sunday’s) is bad for it? Rest of my time is either a ps4 or Netflix.vonblock wrote: ↑Jun 9th, 2019 11:22 amThe biggest problem is CNN and MSNBC. Heavy user of those channel should not buy an OLED.
Constant Red and yellow logo really kill the OLED.
Rtings ran sport contents for thousands of hours and got burn-in after like 9000 hours.
But it was only watching football... For all that time.
With a bit more mixed content (different type of sport), there's zero problem.
