[Costco] LG C1 77" OLED TV $3997.99

Most retailers have the LG C1 77" OLED TV on sale right now for $4497.99. I've been wanting to upgrade from my 65" CX and this appears to be the best price for a locally obtained 77" C1 that I think I've seen advertised. It is the lowest price from Amazon who are probably matching the rest of the retailers. I will be searching around and contacting salespeople for an even better deal and thought I would start this thread to share my experiences and hopefully generate discussion from others who may find an even better deal for those looking to purchase.

It is also available through the following links along with a few others...

Best Buy

https://www.bestbuy.ca/en-ca/product/lg ... 1/15442045

Visions

https://www.visions.ca/product-detail/6 ... LED77C1AUB

Amazon

https://www.amazon.ca/dp/B0942LY815/

Gibbys

https://gibbyselectronicsupermarket.ca/ ... t-oled-tv/

Let's see how low we can get this and have these retailers compete.

UPDATES

Updated thread to reflect TV is now in stock at Costco and made that the primary retailer.

I've already purchased the TV from my local TV dealer for $4100 thanks to quote shared in the thread. Thanks @Melkor

Costco is now out of stock again, but still available at other retailers.

My TV arrived much sooner than I was expecting

UPDATE November 12: Thread updated with new pricing

I was also planning to wait, but I'm not sure it'll drop much lower. It'll also be the current model for a few months longer...

I have been keeping at eye out for deals on the 77" C1 or G1. The C1 77 Inch was being offered at Visions for $3928 + Eco Fee + HST = $4,466.55. This was a few months ago and a few people got this deal. Some even posted their receipts.

I'm holding out for BF deals but that's mostly cause I want to clean up the space to wall mount the TV first.

$3928? do you have to buy the extended warranty?

It kinda bothers me that you could almost buy 2x 65" C1s for the cost of this 77" (based on the 65" current sale price). I know that as these get bigger the price goes nuts, but damn.

Better off getting a 65. 77 is way overpriced. Especially for 12 more inches.

While I agree that the 65" is much better value, the 77" offers 40% more screen. I bought the 65" CX for the same reason, but I'm left wanting more. My last 4 TVs were 65" 4K, so I want something that feels exciting again.

I'm waiting for the Sony XR77A80J to drop below $4000 it's currently around $4598. At Costco.
I'm not a gamer so I don't need the LG.
I was able to talk a local retailer down to around $4175 for the Sony but that's still to much for me.

Any idea how long these OLED TVs last? I'm still using a 10 year old Panasonic 60in Plasma which still looks fantastic.

Just bought this TV last week, paid $3700 plus the overpriced visions warranty. I'm happy, worth the money for sure. Subtotal was $4516 pre tax.

Damn, that warranty! Did you get any quotes without warranty?

Yeah, $4200.

Edit: I figure if I'm paying this much for a TV, I'd better get the warranty. I'm normally not an extended warranty guy.

Well, in that case you'll be happy to see that I was wrong in my previous post. Here's the estimate the manager at the Hamilton location sent me. $4100

Edit: added invoice with warranty

Clearly you haven’t seen the two side by side, it’s definitely worth it if you have the room.

Each additional inch is more added surface area than the last inch.

12 inches is quite a bit, yes.

I can't thank you enough for this! I will call around locally to attempt this price match. I have a feeling it's a new TV kinda day.
