Since this got me, FYI, not all Lg Grams have a touch screen. This one does not.

How does this processor to compare? I understand there are different 10th gen variants with an extra '0' in the model code.

It's because the price isn't live on the site. But it's the first day of the sale. Costco online is not always on-time, sometimes to your advantage because a sale could last extra days on their website.

This is a good processor. It's on the newer 10nm process and not the older 14nm, so it will run cooler and use less battery.
This processor has 4 cores and 8 threads. Combined with the 16gb of ram and nvme SSD (last year they used SATA!) and Iris Plus graphics, this is a very capable machine for a lot of people.

It goes other way too.
Supply line becomes too thin for demand too, given that recession doesnt hit us first.
Right now, I am keeping my wallet very tight.. No idea where we will be in 3 months.

However, I do see this price is good price for this specs and Costco 2 year warranty.

Who on earth is in charge of naming at LG? First we have the ridiculous "ThinQ", now they have "Gram" - is that meant to be an amusing take on "Doing it for the gram" or that it doesn't weigh many grams? /facepalm

You have to go take a look in person to appreciate the engineering of it, it it so thin, so light and excellent battery life. We're talking about a 17" laptop with keypad and stuff into a 16" body for under 3lb. If I have the budget for a highend laptop I am getting this 100%.

I don’t think a lot of folks would mind the 10th gen intel cpu vs an amd 4series. To a lot of people, they’re never going to push their machines to its limits.

17 inch is way too big for this type of super portable laptop.

Having played around with one of these in store it really is amazing how large yet thin and light these things are. The photos don't do this laptop justice. That being said, in the current environment I don't know if I'd be up for spending over $1,000 on a laptop whose main focus is on portability when I have nowhere to go...

Yeah. This prob won't appeal to the Avg person here. But for my old man who likes laptops, big screens, and does nothing on them but stocks/news/excel/mail this seems like a pretty good choice. It's well reviewed, the dimensions are that of the avg 15" laptop, weight of a 13",and the look/feel is pretty premium as others have said.
