[Costco] Mason Jars Clearance $9.97 (QC Stores)

I was shopping at Costco stores in Montreal today and noticed the Mason Jars on sale. Online $16.97 and in store $9.97. I visited 4 different store and found them in 2 out of the 4 stores

It has been at this price out west for a few months now, and every warehouse I 've been to still have 1-2 pallets of this.

These aren’t what you’d traditionally consider “mason jars” and have been on sale/clearance at most locations for weeks now

They’re more general purpose snack storage

As a canner for many years, I now know most glass jars work as mason jars , if the lids are only used a couple times . Just examine the lids prior to use, make sure they are good quality still and clean (just like mason jar lids) , no dents or rust. Also Classico products ARE mason jars. Haven't bought a mason jar since I started, after I figured out this trick.
Disclaimer : Throw away any canned item with a broken seal and boil anything that is suspect .
