Love these deals. I've already purchased 4 pairs of MJs from Costco. Ebb and flow, spinnaker, boardwalk, and shallows.

Can Costco optical fit these with prescription lenses and claim through insurance?

I don't believe so. Maui Jim only offers prescriptions through their own lab.

This is the regular price at Costco right? Just new stock? Been debating a pair for awhile, need to try some on.

Yes, I've seen them in store but not all the models shown here online.

Not "new" stock, just more stock. These are all old models. That's the reason why they're more than half price.

^^

Or does anyone have suggestion on what constitutes a small/medium/large face?

Maui Jim has a sizing guide on their site. You can also look at a pair of sunglasses that fit well and just read the measurements on the arm and find something similar.

I bought one before Christmas but this is really something You need to try on. Even though the model said for larger heads I find them small.

For sure. It's hard to find a good fit for big head like mine. That's why I bought two pairs when I found a good fit.

I'd echo this.

My wife has a couple pairs of prescription Maui Jim. She purchased through a local optician who has their own lab, but her frames still had to be shipped off for the lenses.

When they get stock, they are generally around this price. Stock at the store varies from none to a couple. Online is a couple to over 20, like what they have now. Like most things Costco sells where they are not authorized dealers, they are last years or discontinued models. Maui Jim is not really a fashion forward so I don't how they decide what to discontinue and they look fairly similar to me. The Breezeway model I bought sold for $300 when current. $140 is a good deal if you like Maui Jim. For the Dollar Store sunglasses crowd, no price will be low enough.

I was there at the 32$ price error at dell.ca day AND at the 150$ off price error at fs.ca

What's so good about Maui Jim? (Serious question - not trying to antagonize)

I come from Ray Ban and Oliver Peoples... is this brand similar in style and fit?

There are a bunch of MJ threads from before - You might wanna go through them before someone starts preaching to choir here.

Short answer - They're very good.
Long answer - They're very very good.
Do you need it or do you want it?

I know that Costco did not offer prescription versions of the MJ glasses in the past.
Has anyone asked recently to see if they've changed this policy?

Also, can you order any other models as a special order or are you limited to what you see on the website or in-store?

From what I hear their lens quality are very very good.

They were also one of the few sunglasses companies not owned by luxxottica and were an independent company up until recently when they got bought out.

I've been looking to get a pair of Maui jims after but not a fan of the current designs at Costco, hope they bring more out. Imo ray ban has better styles but I'm trying to switch it up.
