GTEH!
For $10, it's a decent leather wallet with RFID.
I picked up a couple last year at this price.

Sometimes it might scan at $9.97 and the sign is not updated.
YMMV

I bet that never happens in real life. You have more chances of being mugged.
Also, aren't the banks offering protection if such a case would ever happen?

Not true, just that you/media will likely to find out when you are getting mugged vs getting scanned and that's why you see it as "happening more".

Not knowing doesn't mean it doesn't happen.

If I were a thief, I'd prefer to do a scan than mugging someone.
It never happens in real life, because with the strong reader, you pickup signal from more than just your 1 card.
It is mixed with all the cards in your wallet.
In order to "clean" up the data, it takes a lot of effort if at all possible. This render the fraud impractical.

That being said, if you are the kind of person who only have 1 credit card. It could be possible.
If I buy something that is not in deep discounted, my father will punish me; everyone will laugh at me. I will be the strange kid who doesn't fit in.

I am trying to understand this wallet..

Can you use both wallets at the same time? (insert it inside one another).
Or are they intended to be used independently?

The RFID factor of this wallet isn't the selling point anyway.

It's the fact that it's a decent looking and practical wallet for $10. The RFID part of it is just bonus

The small one fits inside the big one (probably be too bulky though) and they can be used separately (I gave the small one to the wife). The small one is not meant to hold bills.

There's still about 30 of them left at this location in Burnaby.

In case anyone is heading there, they've moved them onto a small cart right around the corner from the entrance (next to the small potted plants / herbs)... spent an eternity looking for them! None of the staff seemed to know where they were.

Thanks for the update! I saw them at the DT location last night for $9.97 but I was going to the Canucks game so I didn't pick one up, will try Richmond tomorrow maybe
