[Costco] Miele Blizzard CX1 Total Care $399.97

Just came back from Costco Windsor, they have the Miele Blizzard CX1 Total Care vacuum for $399.97. Other places have it for $849.99, so seems like a good deal. Item #1194193. Was told not all Costco stores carried it, so I'd call before heading over

Would have picked up one myself but already have a C3 Cat/Dog, so I'll wait until that one dies out (which will hopefully be many years)

None in Lower Mainland, and probably BC. Called one and gave them item number, and they checked their system.

This is a great deal, I have a C2 but if I didn't I'd be all over this like white on rice.

i called in to the auroa store in ontario. they sold out however there were stock in vaughan, brampton and scarborough. I bought one at the vaughan location and there were at least 7 left (worst case i can return it).

Been looking to replace my Dyson V8 animal (used for 2.5 years.....great vaccum but battery is dying, wont last 5 min on max suction any more).

Thanks, just got the floor model in Kanata. I think one or 2 more stores in Ottawa may have had floor model left. If you call in they should be able to tell you

Edit: Beware with floor models and make sure it comes with all accessories.

As of about 3hrs ago, StoneyCreek location had 10 remaining.

In for one, was eyeing a Miele for years and finally pulled the trigger.

Also note that this is not an electric brush. The Miele naming convention is so confusing.

I don't think Miele was as successful with these vs. their traditional bagged vacs - probably why they are being discontinued. They came up with this line to compete with Dyson, but they should have just stuck with the bagged market. These are a bit 'over-engineered' IMO - there is a stepper motor to periodically 'shake' the fine dust loose from the filter, but just another thing to possibly break over time.

That being said, this is still a great price for what it is.

Was the CX line discontinued by Miele?

I wouldn't be too concerned about that. Miele makes the best vacuum cleaners which are known to last up to 20 years plus. They also stand by their product and have good warranty. At this price it's a no brainer for this vacuum.

I was just told at Scarborough Warden that there are none left in the GTA.

Gone. There were 10 left at Thorncliffe and someone snagged them all 10 mins before I got there.

2 left in Brampton this morning. Not sure if they are selling the floor model or not. Hope this helps someone.

Should have clarified - haven't seen any indication that it's being discontinued by Miele necessarily - my assumption from the above post was just that it was Costco discontinuing selling them. Doesn't surprise me because Costco doesn't usually hang on to things for very long if they are not selling that well - it is not as if they have so many types of vacuums that they sell in-store / the shelf space to dedicate to it.
