Might jump on this next year but hoping Motorola release a good phone in this budget that's closer to the size of a Pixel 4A rather than these massive phablets.

Anyways, has anyone been able to use a ID.me discount or other similar student discount to purchase directly from Motorola? I know it works in the UK but can't find a Canadian link.

Bought this phone for my dad during the black friday sale
He dropped it on the 3rd day and cracked the screen, couldn't wait for the phone case I ordered for him that arrived the next day, lol
Overall pretty good phone

that's the thing. for most average people this phone is great. it's not high end ... but it's a honda accord with a 900 mile range. The battery is what most regular people want, as long as the phone isn't too big for you.

Did you buy it on a credit card? You might be able to file a claim against most credit card’s purchase protection to get reimbursed for the repairs or a new device if it’s within the coverage period (usually 90 days on most cards).

It may or may not work as I never tried filing an insurance claim for this before... I’d still look into it and explore the possibilities. :)

2020, the year I complain that the camera has a tiny 1/2.8 sensor when the norm is now 1/1.7. 🤣
Best shopping deals I got from here:
Asus Zenfone 3 Zoom $300, ZTE Blade V8 Pro $175, Fluld 55' 4k TV $360

I bought this at Costco online during the Black Friday sale. Do I need to take the phone in for a price adjustment or is the receipt enough? It’s already Christmas wrapped Face With Tears Of Joy

It's the same price as the BF sale, so there's nothing to PA.

If you bought online and the online price is lower, they will do a price adjustment online

"Costco.ca will gladly issue a credit for the difference between the price paid and the current lower price on Costco.ca if your purchase was made online at Costco.ca and placed within 30 days prior to the change in the price of the item. Please use the form below, to submit your request."

If you bought online and the warehouse price is lower, you would need to return and buy from the warehouse

"Costco.ca does not price match warehouse or other retailers' pricing"

Check out the Bhphoto for their US$120 Motorola G7 Plus. I believe that it has NFC.

I was looking that that but I'm gonna wait until the new S21 series is released and see what happens with the price of the s20 series. Hopefully I can get the s20 plus or if not just the s20 fe.... If all else fails then cheap g7 it is. I'm with the new s series being rumored to be announced in less than a month o shouldn't have to wait all that long.

BB has some good open box deals on mid range Samsung phones like the A71 and A51....these have 3 years or OS updates like the S10 and S20 series. These often go out of stock however. I prefer these as a result as well as I have a Samsung watch.

Geek squad approved or certified to my understanding. Return it if it doesn't make u happy.

$299 A51 open box
$404 A71 open box *my preferred choice for value
$719 S20 5G FE open box *too pricey IMO

Almost like new

What condition are Geek Squad Certified Open Box products in?
Geek Squad Certified Open Box products have to be in mint condition and cosmetically flawless to receive certification.

Do products that have been Geek Squad Certified look new?
Yes, as close to new as possible. Our Geek Squad agents inspect and clean every product and they'll only certify it if they deem it to be like-new.
