Seems like this is pretty comparable to the Samsung A51, except the CPU is a little better here. Probably lose out on update support, though.
Rock it.

Cool.. Time for a price adjust.. I just picked this up for my son last week.

Can anyone confirm that sale has started in store also ? Or will it only start on Monday ?

Maybe @inferno_gn can confirm, if he is working today.

In terms of price/performance/value, how does it compare with the BH Photo deal on the G7 Plus? I ordered a G7 Plus (like many of us) but hasn't shipped yet so how does a $250+tax G Power phone ($285 or so) compare to $180 G7 Plus? In other words, is the extra $100 worth it for the difference in phones?

I bought this phone a few months ago and the battery life is incredible. I can usually go 4 or 5 days on a full charge. Camera is decent, performance is decent, the only thing it's missing that I wish it had is NFC for contactless payments.

Hide your credit card in between your case and your phone and bam, contact less phone. ;)

Thanks for the link but most of these types of comparison pages contain incomplete information even for phones from the same OEM only a year apart in introduction dates.

From what I can see from the various comparisons, the G7 Plus is:
  • Better built - glass front and back vs just glass front. Also has Gorilla Glass.
  • has OIS rather than electronic
  • has NFC
  • much faster charging
While the G Power has:
  • Larger battery
  • Android 10
  • faster processor
  • ultrawide lens

I can confirm that the GPower is available in store since I picked it up last week for my son (from Marche Centrale location at least). In store regular price is $289.99. So with $50 off, it should now be $239.99.

Don't forget that Gpower has 2 yrs warranty if you put it on a CC that double warranty. First 90 days, return policy from Costco. remainder up to 1 yr from Moto warranty, and 2nd year from CC.
G7 Plus I'd be surprised if it has any manufacturer warranty considering it is being shipped from US, to Canada.

G7 Plus you say much faster charging ? There is something surely missing in the specs. I can confirm that the GPower has 3 modes of charging. Regular charge, 5V1A standard charge, and it displays "charging slowly". 5V 2.4A charger, it displays "charging rapidly", and anything with more power (I used my RavPower PD chaerger), and it shows "Turbopower connected". The charger that is INCLUDED here in Canada however is a standard 5V 2.4A charger. I believe in the UK, it ships with an 18W Turbocharger. Does it support 27W, probably not. It has such a large battery, that to prolong it's longevity, I think the standard 5V, 2.4A is the best compromise.

Current US price is 180 or $235 CAD, seems to be similar sale.

Downsides are camera, single SIM, not waterproof. Maybe hard to find accessories?

Is the battery replaceable? It seems like an ok deal but it's only 20% off. I was expecting more for a BF sale.
