Got an email from Nellie's recently that they were upping their prices which this deal reflects (only $5). Still a great deal for a pail that lasts years.

if your clothes arent really soiled you could get away with way way less detergent than recommended. Hell you could even do without detergent for fun and it'll turn out well.

How is the quality of cleaning capability? Consumer reports is not reviewing them and they have some over the top reviews which look sketch.

The marketing is great, how is the product though? Might stick with the Kirkland brand which is slightly more expensive but well reviewed on CR.

I used nellies before…

It washes clothes just like everything else.

Maybe I’m a simpleton though. I’ve probably forgotten detergent all together before and never even noticed so.

We have been using the product for almost a decade now. It's great for regular use, but for specific purposes only, which we figured out after hit-and-trial method after a long time use. We use it for sheets, towels, pants, trousers and kids clothes. It doesn't take the stains out well, so any stained clothes need to be washed with powerful (liquid) detergent for us. Same goes for sweat, doesn't take it out well off shirts in our experience. So if clothes are sweaty, we use separate detergent, otherwise shirts/under-shirts smell bad even after a couple of hours use after washing in Nellie's powder. We would love to use it for everything as it's light on skin and good for environment, but it doesn't work well in every case. Hope this helps.

Only online for the big tub. You can get smaller ones in store when they have their road show stands, but the big tub at $25 off is by far the best price.

Ive been using Nellie's for close to 10 years now (on my second bucket). It's just my husband and me and we don't particularly stain clothes, I've not ever noticed stains that don't come out. But I also use a scoop of Nellie's and a scoop (with the same Nellie scoop) of Borax. Clothes comes out clean and fragrance free - just smells like clean clothes.

I bought this in 2017, still have about 50% left.

I use this in my carpet cleaning machines, instead of the expensive liquids.

Had some issues with my washer a few weeks ago, appliance repairman said we were using too much Nellies (detergent buildup was clogging things up). I only use one level scoop for a large load so I've cut it in half now. My bucket will last 15 years at this point

Any scent to this? I've had to change laundry detergents because of sensitive co-workers, wondering if we can jump on this or not.
Do they have smaller batches at any retail store so I can test it out?
