Nest Hello $229

received a Nest email today with BF deals. Nest Hello is on for $70 off ($229).

https://store.nest.com/ca/product/nest-hello/NC5100EF

Then, I checked costco online, and it's priced there at $229 as well. I ordered through Costco + $20 masterpass discount = $209

How well does this handle winter? Says it's operated for - 10c to 40c, is that accurate

I read reviews where the doorbell would shut down during deep freezes, and was part of the reason why I decided to with the Ring Pro instead. Didn't see any reviews where people had problems with the Ring Pro exposed to frigid temperatures. It is anecdotal of course, but I didn't want to chance it. Plus the subscription fees are cheaper with Ring than Nest.

The nest does 24/7 recording while the ring doesn't.

Which is fine if you need or like that feature. Personally, recording when motion is detected is all I need and I save a few bucks in the process.

I picked one of these up at Shoppers drug mart for $130 on October 1st. They have had it on sale a few times like that since September

Whoh, how'd you snag that? I don't think that's ever been on RFD. The lowest posted deal was in the low $200's...

Damn I just PM'd Lowes for $206 and I thought I was doing ok, you just made me feel inferior :(
To all RFD "Contest Entering" folk, look me up on Facebook or on Twitter

Sorry :( I didn’t even think to post it! Figured someone else would have... next time I see it, I’ll for sure have to post it. Definitely one of those “I’m sure someone else already did it” situations

That's a shame. DIdn't last long. I was trying to show a buddy at work because he was interested. Freaking gone! Does costco online typically run out during sales? This is the first time I've ordered from them online.
