[Costco] Nintendo switch Mario Kart Home Circuit Kit $79.97

On clearance pricing $79.97. Plenty in stock as of 3:00PM July 20th.

Most retailers still have it at regular price $129.99.

Anyone saw these in GTA East locations (Scarborough/Markham/Richmond Hill)?

Not to rain on anyone's parade, but I got this for my 9 and 11 year old for Christmas, and they played it maybe 2-3 times before they got sick of it. The concept is definitely cool, but it was a bit of a hassle to set up a track etc. each time. They got bored very quickly.

From the reviews, they also say the wheels get dirty quick, like hair getting stuck on it.

I guess you got a nice Kart to display on the shelf when you get sick of playing it.

Same story with my 5 and 7 year old kids. Probably played with them 4 or 5 times and they're now collecting dust on a shelf. If we had the space to have the track setup full time, maybe they'd play with them more?

They work great, the camera view on the screen was very cool, but the replay value apparently isn't so good.

We've played it a few times, its fun but I imagine like most homes, there's really not a lot of space in our living room to create a whole variety of tracks (and signal gets a bit iffy once it goes into the kitchen). might be worth it to pick up a second car though

edit: I should mention that I did see this at the Niagara costco alongside RingFit, but that didn't have a price, so I assume it was similarly discounted.

Only if they can be played as a stand alone RC car without Switch.

Nope. Each one needs their own Switch, so even if playing in your house, you'd need to actually have 2 Switches too.

I was never able to setup a track with the older kids, 2 year old would just chase the car then pick it up and push it.

It was fun making him chase it around the house though.

I see these as collector items in the future, if these are the last cars.

Similar story here...got it for my 11yo for 2020 Xmas. Played with it a few times and it started collecting dust before the year was over. I got permission from him and sold it for $80 a few months ago.

Buying a second Roomba and putting shells on them would be far more fun to watch than buying a second Switch.

Same boat…makes this price hurt that much more. A waste.
