That's a great deal!
I am surprised they marked them down with them selling so fast. I just bought the GS24 in store a few months ago for $279, the blue XJ24 was also $279.

Don't take this to your next BC Bike Race, but I bought one and think that it is a perfectly adequate bike for commuting, going to school and dirt trails, which is the kind of thing that most kids will use this for.

I would estimate these are equivalent to bikes costing 400-500 from manufacturers like Trek.

It doesn't compare to my Cannondale Scalpel, but at $265 it is a good deal.

Since most people riding them are fake mountain bikers anyways this bike will do just fine.

From what I can tell, they don't have front suspension. So, I'd guess the geometry is more akin to an urban / hybrid commuter than a mountain bike. In this price range, it's actually better that they don't have a front suspension as the fork would be extremely low end, offer limited in functionality, and be very heavy. Unless you ride rough terrain, rigid bikes are preferable in my experience.

You think that most kids are fake mountain bikers, as in these 8 year olds are all trying to trick you into thinking they are mountain bikers when they're not?

What a narcissistic imagination.

Bud it's a 24" kids bike, relax. Your kid has a Santa Cruz for cruising the hood with the homies, eh?

If your kid needs a real mountain bike, you certainly aren't hawking around at Costco for a sub-$300 bike lol. These are great bikes for kids to rip around the neighbourhood or bike trails.

All right. That does it. Resistance is futile. It’s like trying to stop the incoming tide. The 3-letter airport code shall now mean the City of Vancouver or even the entire Lower Mainland and not just the airport anymore. It’s a done deal. Calgary was the first to fall, Edmonton was not far behind, and it looks like we too are now past the point of no return. Winnipeg, Toronto, and Montreal, take notice: this many headed monster is coming for you too. You’ll be strolling down the YYZ lakefront and dining in old town YUL. Horrifying, I know. Organize the resistance now and fend it off as long as you can. With strength and determination this beast can be slain. I pray for your success!
